I looked more closely. It was Kade. My eyes widened slightly.

“Don’t worry,” Kade’s voice came from the other side, steady and composed. “There’s a divider between the pools. We might hear each other, but we can’t see anything.”

I frowned faintly. “I’m not worried. You just could have mentioned it earlier.”

I didn’t know whether to laugh or be annoyed. Still, it didn’t really affect my mood.
