Something didn’t add up.

He stepped forward again, forcing a smile.

“Agatha, you’re absolutely right. But Nira’s used to living here. I’m worried she wouldn’t adjust to the main house. We’ve been strict, sure, but that’s because we care. If she leaves, it’s going to be hard on us.”

Agatha let out a cold laugh.

“Care? This is abuse.”

Her cane hit the ground again.

“You call this caring? Locking her up and starving her? If I hadn’t shown up today, how far were you planning to take this?”

Damon shot Jenna a look and nudged her forward.

She caught on instantly, tears pooling in her eyes. “You’re right, Agatha. We were wrong. We’ll do better.”

She turned to me, voice soft and emotional, “Nira, you’re our daughter. You belong here with us. Thank you for caring about us, but staying here is what’s best for you.”

On the side, Janice looked like she was about to lose it.

There was no way she was letting me go to the main family.

If I got their backing, it wouldn’t take much to push Damon into kicking herout of the Soren estate, maybe even out of Blazeborn Pack.

She stepped forward, tears streaming down her face.

“Nira, please don’t go. I’ll give you everything. We can just be a family again, okay?”

Nira’s POV:

I stood there, right in the middle of it all, watching them fight over me like I was some kind of bargaining chip.

It would’ve been funny if it wasn’t so pathetic.

“Enough,” I said calmly. “This is my decision.”

Agatha looked at me immediately, hope clear in her eyes.

Chapter 82 The Offer

“Nira, come with me. The main family has everything you could ever need. No one will ever touch you again.”

Damon cut in quickly.

“Nira, tell her you’re staying. This is your home.”

Home?

That word almost made me laugh. I knew exactly what this was. Neither side cared about me. This was about value.

The only thing I didn’t know was what Agatha really wanted.

I looked at her and answered calmly, “I appreciate it. I’ll come visit sometime.”

For a brief second, disappointment flashed across her face, but she covered it quickly with a smile.

“That’s alright. You’re welcome anytime.”

She gestured behind her.

Her guards stepped forward with a series of boxes, opening them one by one. Inside were the latest designer pieces and rare, high- end jewelry.

My guard immediately went up.

This was way too generous. There had to be a reason. Agatha gently patted my hand, her voice warm.

“These are all for you, Nira.”

Then, like it just crossed her mind, she added, “Oh, right. The Flores family hosts an annual private gala. Only the top–tier families get invited, and everyone important shows up.”

She looked at me with a hint of expectation.

“We have three invitations this year. Come with me. It’ll be good for you to see that world.”

I froze for a second.

That gala was one of the biggest events in the entire pack alliance. Everyone knew it.

And with only three invitations, even core members of the main Soren family fought for a spot.

And yet….

She was offering one to me. Something about this felt very, very off.
