Chapter 106 Stop Eating Already
Eloise used the serving fork to serve Rhys a few dishes.
Rhys looked utterly miserable.
Grayson frowned, clearly annoyed. “Eloise, you’re my woman. How can you give food to Rhys?”
Eloise filled his plate. “Go ahead, eat.”
Grayson’s eyes lit up. “Eloise, you didn’t argue with me, so you’re admitting you’re my girl now?”
“In your dreams!” Eloise shot back.
Grayson didn’t let it get to him. He just picked up his fork and started eating.
He took a bite of the braised pork chop.
He was stunned.
It tasted absolutely awful.
He snatched Eloise’s fork away. “Stop eating!”
Eloise looked at him, amused. “Is it really that bad?”
Grayson frowned. “You seriously don’t think it’s awful?”
“It’s fine. I can handle it,” Eloise replied.
Grayson felt a little heartbroken for her.
‘Eloise never complains about food… She must’ve had to go hungry before, Grayson thought.
Grayson ignored Rhys and Colton, grabbed Eloise’s hand, and tried to pull her away. “Come on, let’s go eat somewhere else.”
Eloise clung to the table, not wanting to leave. “It’s too much hassle. Let’s just eat here.”
Grayson muttered, “Nothing I cook is edible anyway.”
“I’ll throw together a couple of dishes. Just bear with it, guys,” Eloise said.
Eloise pulled her hand back and headed straight to the kitchen. Seeing the chaos inside, she paused for just a moment, then started cleaning up without hesitation.
Seeing this, Noemi quickly rushed over to lend a hand.
With Noemi’s help, Eloise whipped up four dishes and a soup in no time.
The delicious aroma filled Pierce Manor in an instant.
Rhys’s eyes lit up as he stared at the dishes being brought out.
Rhys couldn’t wait to try the food, but Grayson slapped his hand with his fork. “Hold on.”
Rhys pouted and set his fork down.
Eloise took off her apron, sat down, and glanced at them. “Let’s eat.”
Rhys and Colton both looked over at Grayson.
Grayson picked up his fork and served Eloise some food. “You worked hard. Eat up.”
Eloise glanced up at him but just kept quiet.
Rhys was already shoveling food into his mouth.
“This is so good! Grayson, your cooking is like… Ouch!” Rhys teased.
Before he could finish, Colton kicked him under the table.
Grayson ignored them, filled half of Eloise’s bowl with food, and then started eating at his own pace.

serving her, piling her plate high with food.
Rhys just pouted and didn’t say a word.
The four of them finished off all four dishes and the soup, leaving nothing behind.
Sometimes, after eating too much fancy stuff, a simple home-cooked meal like this really hit the spot and warmed everyone up.
After dinner, Eloise headed to the kitchen to help clean up, but Noemi gently shooed her away. “Ms. Caldwell, I’ ve got this. Go chat with Mr. Pierce.”
Rhys and Colton left right after eating.
Grayson was nowhere to be seen.
Eloise wandered around the yard, waiting for Noah to come back.
The Pierce family’s yard was beautifully landscaped, with rockeries, a fountain, and a pond filled with colorful koi.
Eloise crouched by the pond, watching the koi.
Soon, footsteps sounded behind her.
Eloise instantly recognized the sound. It was Grayson.
“Want to feed them?” Grayson asked.
Suddenly, a box of fish food appeared in front of her.
Eloise took it and turned to look at him.
Grayson had just showered and changed into a white casual outfit, his hair still damp, strands falling messily over his forehead.
He looked nothing like his usual stiff, suited self. Now he seemed almost like a boy next door, warm and approachable.
If only he’d crack a smile.
Grayson gave her cheek a playful pinch. “Go on, feed them.”
Eloise turned toward the pond, grabbed a handful of fish food, and tossed it in. In no time, all the koi that had been swimming around came rushing over, crowding together in a wriggling mass.
Eloise let out a happy giggle and threw in another handful. The fish swarmed, tails flicking as they scrambled for the food.
Grayson raised an eyebrow. “Are you really that happy just feeding fish?”
Without looking back, Eloise replied, her mood clearly lifted, “Of course! If it wasn’t fun, why would malls and parks have special spots where you pay to do this? Feeding koi outside costs like twenty or thirty a pop.”
Grayson blinked, surprised there was even a business for this. He crouched down beside Eloise, watching her grin like a little kid. “If you want to feed them, you can come here every day. No charge at all.”
Eloise just stayed quiet.
By the time Eloise finished feeding the whole box of fish food, Noah, Hannah, and Leo had come back.
Hannah kept Eloise chatting for half an hour before finally letting her go.
Eloise was just about to start the car when Grayson slid into the passenger seat.
Eloise stared at him. “What are you doing?”
Grayson said, “I’m coming to your place.”
“There’s no room for you at my place. Get out,” Eloise said.
“I can just sleep on the couch,” Grayson replied.
“Grayson!” Eloise snapped.

Seeing Eloise was actually mad, Grayson had no choice but to get out.
Noah rolled down the back window, trying not to crack up as he waved at Grayson. “Bye, Dad!”
Grayson just stared, lost for words.
‘Chill, don’t get mad… Sooner or later, I’ll be living with Eloise for good, Grayson thought.
Eloise drove off without even looking back.
Grayson went inside and caught up with Leo for half an hour about how the company’s latest projects were going.
He didn’t stay at Pierce Manor that night. He headed back to his place on Vernal Road, but swung by the villa on Clidale Road first.
Noemi couldn’t help but gush to Hannah about Eloise. “Mrs. Pierce, Ms. Caldwell is wonderful. You really have an eye for people.”
“All the food Mr. Pierce made this afternoon ended up wasted, but Ms. Caldwell stepped in and cooked four dishes and a soup for dinner. She’s an amazing cook, fast and neat, keeps everything spotless, and she’s so gentle when she talks. Mr. Pierce is truly lucky!”
