Chapter 108 This House Is Yours

The elevator doors slid open.

Eloise pushed past Grayson and stepped out first.

Grayson strolled after her, with a look that said he hadn’t had enough yet.

While Colton was moving at lightning speed, Grayson was stuck moving at a snail’s pace.

‘This is so unfair!’ Grayson thought to himself.

Grayson spent another night at Eloise’s place, making himself right at home. The next morning, after savoring her delicious homemade breakfast, he headed off to work feeling satisfied.

Before heading into the office, Eloise gave Bobby another call.

This time, he actually picked up.

“Hey, did you get kidnapped or something? Where’d they take you, northern Myanmar or what?” Eloise joked.

Bobby was speechless.

“Wait, you’re not actually kidnapped, right? Mom’s freaking out and wants to call the police,” Eloise said.

“Can you not with the sarcasm, Eloise? I had to leave because something urgent came up,” Bobby said. Eloise shot back with a smirk, “Wow, must’ve been super urgent for you to blast off like a rocket and even shut your phone off.”

“Eloise, do you always have to talk like that? I really do have something important going on. Just help take care of Mom for a few days, okay? I’ll be back as soon as I can,” Bobby said.

Eloise replied, “I don’t care what your deal is, or if you’re just trying to dump her on me. I hired two caregivers, and we’re splitting the cost.”

“You hired another caregiver?” Bobby asked.

“What else am I supposed to do? I have a job,” Eloise replied.

“Can’t you just look after her yourself and save us some cash?” Bobby suggested.

“Ha, so you want me to save you money? If I take time off, I’ll get docked pay,” Eloise shot back.

“You don’t need to take time off. Just work during the day and swing by the hospital in the evenings to help out,” Bobby said.

“Sorry, I’m not a robot. I can’t do that,” Eloise replied.

Eloise had enough and just hung up on him.

Right around lunchtime, Eloise got a call from Noah.

“Mom, I’m downstairs at your office with Great-Grandma. Come down quick!” Noah said.

Eloise was a little surprised. “How come you’re here?”

“Great-Grandma said she wants to take you somewhere,” Noah replied.

Eloise didn’t think much of it. She grabbed her things and headed downstairs.

Noah spotted her and ran over, throwing his arms around her. “Mom!”
