Chapter 109 This House Is Yours
Their bodyguard took the wheel and drove them over.
Hannah said, “Let’s grab something to eat first. We should fill up before we go.”
“Alright,” Eloise replied with a smile.
After lunch at a nearby restaurant, the three piled back into the car.
After a short drive, the car stopped in front of a villa.
Hannah was the first to get out. “Come on, dear, hop out.”
Eloise took Noah’s hand and got out of the car.
Finn was waiting at the villa’s entrance and greeted them respectfully, “Mrs. Pierce, Ms. Caldwell, Noah.”
Eloise quickly composed herself and nodded at Finn. “Hey, Finn.”
Noah greeted him sweetly, “Hi, Finn.”
Hannah smiled warmly. “Finn, thank you for taking care of everything.”
Finn replied, “It’s what I should do, Mrs. Pierce.”
Finn handed Eloise a file folder. “Ms. Caldwell, Mr. Pierce has already transferred the villa to your name. This house is yours now.”
“Inside are the deed and all the paperwork. I’ve also written the door code down for you,” he added.
“The house is fully furnished and ready to go. Furniture, appliances, beddin. Everything’s been taken care of. You and Noah can move in anytime,” Finn added.
Finn barely stopped to breathe as he rattled it all off.
Grayson’s orders were clear: get Eloise to move in, whatever it takes.
Finn was seriously stressed out.
Eloise took the file folder and flipped it open. Sure enough, her name was right there on the deed.
She never expected Grayson to actually follow through. He really transferred the house to her name, not just empty promises.
Owning a place of her own had always been her biggest dream, but now that it was suddenly hers, she couldn’ t bring herself to feel happy.
Hannah kept a careful eye on Eloise, watching her every reaction.
But she didn’t see even a hint of happiness on Eloise’s face.
Finn said, “Ms. Caldwell, I’ve got a moving company on standby. If you want, I can have them help move your things over after you get off work.”
Eloise replied, “Not right now.”
Finn could only stand there in awkward silence.
‘Figures it wouldn’t be that simple, Finn thought.
Hannah took Eloise by the hand and led her inside. “Come on, dear, let’s take a look at the decor and furnishings.”
Eloise glanced around.
The place oozed luxury, with every detail and piece of furniture perfectly chosen. It was gorgeous, inviting, and totally her vibe.
Hannah ushered her upstairs.
There were five bedrooms up on the second floor.
Hannah led her right to the master bedroom.
The master bedroom was massive, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a walk-in closet.

Hannah then led her to another room.
It was a kid’s room, decked out just the way a little boy would love.
Noah’s eyes lit up with excitement.
They headed up to the third floor, where half was set up as a gym and the other half was a bright, sunroom.
Finn chimed in, “Mr. Pierce said this space is for you to have your own little garden. He left it undecorated so you can fix it up any way you want.”
“And the yard on the first floor has been enclosed. Mr. Pierce said you like growing vegetables, so that area is just for you to plant whatever you want,” Finn added.
Eloise’s mind wandered back.
Five years ago, she was nestled in Grayson’s arms, imagining their future. “Grayson, let’s work hard and save up for a house. I want the first floor. Most people don’t like it, but I do. It comes with a yard.”
“I could plant some flowers and vegetables out there. The stuff you buy at the store is loaded with chemicals, but if I grow my own, it’s safe and reliable. Oh, and I want to grow strawberries too. The ones you buy never taste like strawberries at all,” she said.
Grayson laughed at her, “You sound just like a grandpa or grandma. Only old folks want the first floor.”
She giggled and shoved a strawberry into Grayson’s mouth. “Maybe I’m just old at heart.”
Eloise pulled herself back to reality, her eyes a little red.
They headed back downstairs.
Finn asked again, “Ms. Caldwell, are you moving in today?”
Hannah looked at her expectantly.
Eloise replied, “Let’s hold off for now.”
She really liked the house, but there was a nagging sense of unease.
Maybe it was just too easy, and it didn’t feel real.
She’d always been used to doing everything on her own, ever since she was a kid.
Having something this good just fall into her lap felt almost unreal to her.
Hannah asked, “So, dear, when are you moving in? I can come help you out.”
Eloise smiled. “Hannah, I couldn’t possibly ask you to help me move. Let’s hold off for now. I haven’t made up
my mind yet.”
“Don’t feel guilty. This is what Grayson owes you. Honestly, one house is nowhere near enough. He should be giving you ten! You gave the Pierce family its first grandson, you’re the real MVP” Hannah said.
“Hannah, I didn’t have Noah for the perks,” Eloise replied.
“I know. You’re a girl with ambition, but if someone’s handing you something for free, why not take it? Move in already and ditch that rental,” Hannah said.
Hannah squeezed her hand. “If you move in, I can come hang out with you and Noah for a few days, Grandma just loves spending time with you.”
Eloise smiled. “Let me think about it.”
Hannah didn’t say anything else. any more persuasion would just be too much.

Eloise still had work in the afternoon, so she took a cab back to the office.
Hannah also took Noah back to Pierce Manor.
Finn called Grayson, sounding frustrated. “Mr. Pierce, Ms. Caldwell doesn’t want to move today.”
Grayson asked, “So, is she moving tomorrow then?”
“No,” Finn replied.
“What about the day after?” Grayson pushed.
“Still no. She just told me to wait, didn’t say when she’d actually move,” Finn said, sounding helpless. Grayson frowned hard.
“I told you to come up with a plan, and this is what you bring me? She doesn’t want to move, so you just let it slide?” he snapped.
Finn looked even more distressed.
“I can’t just break into her place and start moving her stuff without her permission, can I?” he protested.
“You could’ve come up with ten solutions in the time you’ve been arguing with me!” Grayson shot back.
With that, Grayson hung up with a loud click.
Finn muttered under his breath, “He can’t figure it out himself, so he just dumps it all on me. If he’s so smart, why doesn’t he just go convince her himself today?”
But he only dared to complain like that behind Grayson’s back. No way he’d ever say that to the boss’s face.
The cab stopped outside Eloise’s office building. She got out, walked a few steps before remembering something, and headed toward the parking lot.
She found her car, opened the door, and was about to put her file bag inside when someone suddenly came out of nowhere and collided with her.
The file bag dropped to the ground, and its contents scattered all over the pavement.
Eloise shot a cold glare at the woman in front of her. “Camille, are you out of your mind?”
Camille shot her a vicious look, then bent down and snatched up the property deed from the ground. When she saw Eloise’s name on it, her eyes went wide in disbelief.
She demanded, “Where’d you get a house from?”
‘She can’t even afford her rent, and now she owns a house?’ Camille fumed. Eloise snatched the deed back and bent down to gather her scattered papers. Camille sneered, “Let me guess, Grayson gave you that place, didn’t he?”
“Did he or not?” Her voice was shrill and cutting.
Eloise frowned at her. “And if he did, so what? Camille, I seriously think you need to get your head checked. You’re acting totally crazy right now.”
“Oh, so now I’m the crazy one? Please, you’re the real psycho! I used to think you were all noble, but turns out you’re just begging him for a house already,” Camille snapped. “How do you even have the guts? No shame at all! Gold-digger!”
Eloise was so over it. She raised her hand and slapped Camille across the face, making her head snap to the side.
Camille charged at her, eyes wild with rage, but Eloise just planted a solid kick right in her gut.
Camille went down hard, her eyes burning
much for it led like it might burst out of her. Successfully unlocked!

“Who’s the father of your kid? Which loser did you hook up with?” Camille spat.
Eloise tossed her file bag onto the passenger seat, locked the car, and without even sparing Camille a glance, turned and headed straight for the office building.
Camille suddenly scrambled to her feet, a knife appearing in her hand out of nowhere, and lunged straight at Eloise.
“I’ll kill you!” Camille shrieked.
Eloise turned her head and caught a glimpse of the sharp blade glinting. She felt frozen in place.
With the knife about to stab her, Eloise felt her heart stop cold.
At the very last second, a strong hand pulled her out of harm’s way. The blade missed her by inches.
Eloise looked up and saw it was Grayson. Her knees nearly buckled, and she nearly lost her balance.
Grayson steadied her by the waist. “You’re safe now. Don’t be afraid.”
Eloise nodded, still rattled.
Camille missed her mark and was about to lunge at Eloise again, but when she looked up and saw Grayson’s face, cold and fierce, like a grim reaper, she froze in place.
This time, Camille was the one paralyzed with fear.
With a clatter, the knife hit the ground.
The knife hit the ground with a clatter.
“Grayson, it’s not what you think! Eloise hit me. Look, my face is all swollen! She even kicked me, I swear she almost rearranged my organs!” Camille wailed, putting on her best victim act.
“I only fought back because I had no choice! I wasn’t trying to kill her, I just wanted to scare her a little, I…” Camille stammered, her voice frantic.
Before she could finish, Grayson kicked her hard, sending her flying across the parking lot.
Eloise was speechless.
‘Wait, isn’t that lunatic the one who saved his life? How could he just kick her like that?’ Eloise thought.
But seeing Camille sprawled on the ground, groaning in pain and unable to get up, Eloise couldn’t help but grin, thoroughly enjoying her misery.
Eloise had zero sympathy for Camille. The woman had just tried to kill her. Why should she feel sorry for her?
Camille was sprawled on the ground, still totally out of it, not even realizing what just went down.
She was stunned for a bit, then it finally hit her. Grayson had actually booted her clear across the parking lot.
