Chapter 112 Don’t Remember Sleeping with Him
Chapter 112 Don’t Remember Sleeping with Him
Eloise felt like Grayson was hinting at something, so she just let it slide and didn’t respond.
She focused on eating and polished off all the ravioli, leaving Grayson to just stare at her helplessly.
When Eloise was heading out for work, she noticed Grayson’s boxers hanging on the balcony, right next to her own lingerie.
Her lips curled in annoyance, and she hurried over to hang her underwear somewhere farther away.
Grayson finished putting on his shoes, leaned against the door, and snickered, “Please. That already happened a lifetime ago.”
Eloise shot him a glare. “Strange. I don’t recall it happening at all.”
Grayson was at a loss for words.
As Eloise came over to change her shoes, Grayson reached out and tipped her chin up with his finger. “Well, look at you, so feisty now. Not bad.”
Eloise slapped his hand away and hurried to put on her shoes.
“Are you going or not?” she snapped.
Grayson leaned against the door, making it impossible for her to open it.
“Alright, I’m going,” he said.
He turned and opened the door, stepping aside for Eloise. “After you!”
Eloise shot him a look, lifted her foot, and walked out.
But just as she took a step, Grayson yanked her back with a strong pull.
The door slammed shut with a bang.
Grayson pinned Eloise against the door. “Kiss me for five minutes before you go.”
Eloise was speechless.
He said five minutes, but it ended up being ten.
Her lips were stinging.
Grayson was biting her like a wild dog, way too rough.
Eloise stomped down hard on his polished custom shoes.
“Are you nuts!” Eloise yelled.
Still fuming, she pushed him away and stormed out.
Grayson lazily closed the door, smirking as he rubbed his lips, then sauntered toward the elevator. He
squeezed in just as the doors were about to shut.
Eloise kept her gaze fixed on her shoes, refusing to even glance at him.
Grayson had his fun, but didn’t dare get too cocky. When they reached the first floor, he looked at her and said, ” Bye, Eloise.”
Eloise stayed silent and pressed the close button, shutting the door right in his face.
Grayson rubbed his nose, feeling a bit guilty. ‘Maybe I pushed it too far this time.
Eloise arrived at the Hayes Group.
She parked her car.
Downstairs, she bumped into Beckett.
Beckett fixed his gaze on her lips for a while, his eyes brooding and shadowed. “What’s wrong?” Beckett asked.

Eloise looked at him, puzzled. “What’s wrong?”
“Your lipstick’s smudged,” Beckett said.
Eloise immediately remembered that kiss before she left. Her lipstick was all gone thanks to Grayson’s kiss.
Feeling awkward, Eloise slipped into a corner and pulled out her makeup bag.
She saw her reflection in the mirror.
She nearly fainted.
Not only was her lipstick gone, but her lips were so swollen. It was obvious she’d been totally mauled.
Beckett definitely saw it, and that was his subtle way of pointing it out.
‘Can someone just rescue me? This is mortifying!’ Eloise thought.
But as a secretary, she needed nerves of steel.
She fixed up her makeup, trying to make her lips look as normal as possible, then walked into the office building.
When she ran into Beckett again, she acted like nothing had happened, keeping her cool as if everything was perfectly fine.
That afternoon, Giavanna showed up and handed out afternoon snacks to everyone. Everyone except Eloise.
Felice and Bertha shared an awkward look with Eloise.
Eloise couldn’t care less. She just kept busy at her desk.
Giavanna grew frustrated seeing Eloise completely unfazed.
It was the office, so Giavanna didn’t hang around. She left pretty quickly.
That evening, Eloise was set to accompany Beckett to a business reception.
She went home and changed into an outfit that looked professional without being over the top.
She met Beckett at the hotel entrance, and they headed inside together.
Since Beckett came to Ekloland, this was his first important business event.
They’d prepared thoroughly.
Eloise walked beside Beckett, whispering, “The guy up ahead is Mr. Isaac Burton. His company does export business and has been doing really well these past couple of years. He’s a tea lover, especially fond of coffee. “The one with glasses on the left is Mr. Morley from the Morley Group. He keeps things low-key and is really into chess.”
Eloise spotted Juliette.
Juliette was Robert’s secretary, so Eloise wasn’t surprised to see her there.
Both of them were working, so they just exchanged a quick glance.
Eloise stayed close to Beckett, making introductions and mingling with the business heavyweights.
As Eloise and Beckett moved on to the next guest, a waiter approached with two glasses of wine. “Sir, ma’am, looks like your red wine’s finished. Would you like a refill?”
Beckett glanced at his empty wine glass, set it on the tray, and picked up a new one.
Eloise was allergic to alcohol, but she didn’t want to explain it to everyone, so she discreetly poured out her wine, so now her glass was empty.
She handed the empty glass to the waiter and took the other one.
Robert left midway through the event, and Juliette sent Eloise a quick text to let her know she was leaving too, following after him.
When the reception ended, Beckett felt dizzy and feverish all over.

Eloise noticed something was wrong and steadied him by the arm. “Mr. Hayes, are you okay?” Beckett rubbed his temples. “I feel a bit off.”
Eloise asked, “How bad is it? Should we go to the hospital?”
“No, it’s probably just the alcohol. Book me a room, will you? I’ll stay here tonight,” Beckett said.
“Alright,” Eloise replied.
Seeing Beckett was completely out of it, Eloise headed to the front desk and booked a room on an upper floor. She helped him into the elevator and went upstairs with him.
Grayson stood outside Eloise’s apartment, knocking for a long time, but no one answered. The place was dead silent.
He pulled out his phone and called her, but the call just kept ringing with no answer.
Grayson frowned and dialed Finn. “Find out where Eloise is right now.”
Finn, efficient as ever, called back in just ten minutes.
By then, Grayson was already on the road.
“Ms. Caldwell is at a business reception with Mr. Hayes tonight at the Nord Hotel,” Finn reported.
When Grayson arrived at the Nord Hotel, the business reception was already over, and the staff were busy cleaning up.
He looked around but couldn’t find Eloise anywhere. Just as he was about to leave, he spotted Tessa dragging Giavanna toward the elevator.
