Chapter 113 Is He Still Innocent?
Chapter 113 Is He Still Innocent?
Grayson stood in front of a door, took a deep breath, and placed his keycard on the sensor.
The veins on the back of his hand stood out as he turned the doorknob and stepped inside.
The scene he’d been dreading didn’t happen. He let out a sigh of relief, but then his expression soured.
Beckett was lying on the bed, eyes closed, restlessly pulling at his clothes.
He groaned, “So hot… so thirsty. Eloise, I need water,” Beckett called out.
Eloise had just opened a bottle of water and was just about to help Beckett drink when Grayson walked in.
Her hand shook, and water spilled onto the blanket.
Even though she hadn’t done anything wrong, being found alone in a room with Beckett by Grayson felt awkward, like it could easily be misunderstood.
Thankfully, they were both fully clothed, nothing looked out of place.
Eloise didn’t bother to check if Beckett was still thirsty. She tossed the water bottle onto the nightstand and nervously looked at Grayson. “How did you know I was here?”
She noticed the keycard still in Grayson’s hand.
Her brows knitted together. “How did you get a keycard?”
Grayson hadn’t answered yet.
Just then, Tessa and Giavanna burst into the room.
Tessa couldn’t hide her disappointment when she saw the two of them weren’t tangled up together.
‘Why is Eloise acting totally fine?’ Tessa wondered.
‘Didn’t she drink the spiked wine? Why is she showing no signs at all?’ Tessa thought, her mind racing.
Her contact had told her that Eloise and Beckett both finished their wine.
That stuff was supposed to hit hard. If Eloise really drank it, there was no way she’d be this sober.
‘Where did it all go wrong?’ Tessa fumed inwardly.
Giavanna scrambled onto the bed. When she saw Beckett’s condition, her eyes were bloodshot with fury as she lunged at Eloise.
But before she could even get close, Grayson pulled Eloise behind him, shielding her.
Giavanna snapped, “Eloise, what did you feed him? Stop hiding behind a man and come out! You had the guts to do it, but not the guts to admit it, huh?”
Eloise wasn’t dumb, so of course she wasn’t stepping out. She clung to Grayson’s shirt and peeked out. “I didn’ t give him anything. He just had too much to drink. That’s all.”
Just then, Beckett sat up and looked at Grayson.
Grayson shot him a cold, piercing stare.
Beckett then looked over at Tessa.
Tessa flinched and backed away. “Don’t look at me! That’s your fiancée. Handle it with her!”
Tessa pointed at Giavanna and shouted.
The room suddenly fell into an awkward, heavy silence.
Eloise didn’t know what to say.
Giavanna’s jaw clenched, eyes darting.
Both of them knew better than to speak up. They fit for antion to Beckett.

Beckett kept mumbling about how hot he was, had already tossed his jacket aside, and was now working at
the buttons of his shirt.
Suddenly, it dawned on both of them.
Giavanna glared at Eloise, her voice dripping with venom. “You bitch! Did you seriously drug Beckett? What the hell are you trying to do? Take advantage of him? Even if he lost his mind, he’d never go near you!”
Eloise’s lips twitched. Instead of denying it, she just said, “Is he even still pure?”
Giavanna was left speechless.
She lunged at Eloise, ready to scratch her face off, but Eloise quickly hid behind Grayson.
Grayson shoved Giavanna aside. “That’s enough!”
Giavanna snapped, “Mr. Pierce, you’re still going to stand up for her? She drugged Beckett and tried to hook up with him so he’d be forced to marry her. Someone like her isn’t worth your protection.”
Grayson said coldly, “It wasn’t Eloise.”
Giavanna shot back, “If it wasn’t her, then who was it?”
Eloise pointed a finger at Tessa. “It was her.”
Tessa frantically waved her hands. “Eloise, don’t talk nonsense! How could it be me? I never did that!”
Eloise smirked. “You just let it slip. None of us knew Beckett had been drugged and needed someone to deal with it, but you did.”
Tessa snapped, “I just blurted it out. That’s not what I meant! Anyway, I didn’t drug Beckett!”
Giavanna looked at Tessa.
It finally clicked for her.
‘How did Tessa know Beckett and Eloise were at the hotel, their room number, and even have a keycard?’ Giavanna wondered.
‘So she’d planned all of this ahead of time, Giavanna realized. ‘Tessa was the one who drugged Beckett. That damn woman, how could she?’
‘I’m going to kill her!’ Giavanna seethed.
Giavanna shot Tessa a vicious glare, then suddenly lunged at her, grabbing a fistful of her hair and started beating the crap out of her..
Tessa wasn’t about to back down. She grabbed Giavanna’s hair right back.
Both of them were howling in pain, but neither would let go.
Eloise couldn’t help but grimace as she watched the two women wrestling on the floor.
Then she looked over at Beckett. He was already shirtless and starting to unbuckle his belt.
Grayson’s expression turned grim in a flash. He shielded Eloise’s eyes and hurried her out of the room.
Eloise grabbed the door handle and paused. “Grayson, wait.”
Grayson turned, his eyes dark as night, shooting her a cold look. “What now? You planning to stick around and ‘take care’ of Beckett yourself?”
If Eloise really had that idea, Grayson would deal with Beckett first, then break her legs without hesitation. Eloise was speechless for a moment, then shook her head. “No, that’s not it.”
“So why are you sticking around? Trying to play peacemaker or something?” Grayson snapped, his tone sharp. Eloise said, “Can you not be so harsh? Look at Beckett. Are we seriously just going to leave him like that? The least we can do is call for help.”
Grayson shot back, “Don’t count me in. I don’t want to save him. I’d be glad if he ended up out of commission.” ‘Forget it,’ Eloise thought. ‘There’s just no talking sense into this guy.’

She pulled out her phone to call emergency services, but before she could finish, Grayson yanked her away.
She stumbled after him, trying to tell the doctor what was going on with Beckett as they moved.
After a struggle, Eloise finally managed to get Beckett’s situation across to the doctor.
