Chapter 126 Which Room

Eloise was speechless. She shot Grayson another glare, her eyes warning him to knock it off. Hannah pretended to yawn and said, “I’m sleepy. I’m heading to bed.”

Noah got up from the floor and brushed off his pants. “Goodnight. I’m going to bed,” he said.

After a while, only Eloise and Grayson were left in the living room.

Grayson held the apple up to Eloise’s lips and said, “No one’s around now, still feeling shy? Come on.

“Open your mouth. Do you want me to feed you mouth–to–mouth?”

Eloise stared at him, just speechless.

After hesitating for a moment, she finally opened her mouth and took a bite of the apple, and chewed it. The over–the–top drama was still playing. Eloise focused on it again.

And Grayson kept handing her apple slices, one after another.

After a while, the plate was empty, and Grayson headed off to wash it.

When he came back, he sat down next to Eloise again. Seeing how absorbed she was watching, he put his hand on her waist. When she didn’t react, he rested his head on her shoulder.

Eloise still didn’t react, so Grayson got a little more daring.

Eloise felt something warm and wet on her neck. When she turned her head, Grayson kissed her lips right

Grayson tightened his hold on her waist and deepened the kiss.

When the kiss ended, Grayson leaned his forehead against hers, his voice rough. “Are you coming to my room, or should I come to yours?” he asked.

Eloise pushed him away and replied, “Let’s just go to our own rooms.”

She got up with a red face and ran upstairs.

Grayson let out a disappointed sigh, grabbed the remote, turning off the TV.

When Hannah got up, she saw Eloise already busy in the kitchen. She felt a pang of sympathy and asked, ” Dear, why don’t we hire a servant? Or I could have a couple of people from Pierce Manor come over. You’re working so hard, and it breaks my heart.”

Eloise turned around and replied with a smile, “Hannah, it’s really not hard at all. I like to do these things. I’ve been getting up early every day for so long. It’s just a habit now.”

Hannah couldn’t help but think Grayson was really lucky.

She thought, ‘How did he get so lucky to end up with a wife like her?‘

After washing up, Hannah went into the kitchen to help.

Eloise wouldn’t let her lift a finger, so Hannah just hung around and chatted with her.

As soon as Grayson went inside after his morning run, he caught the sound of laughter coming from the kitchen.

He grinned, went upstairs for a shower, and then woke Noah up.

After breakfast, Eloise was about to take Noah to school.

Grayson grabbed Noah by the collar and pulled him over. “I’ll drop him off,” he said.

Eloise shrugged and said, “Alright.”

He asked, “Dad, can you drive me to school in your sports car tomorrow?”

Grayson glanced at him and asked, “You want to ride in a sports car?”

Noah replied, “Yeah! The silver one, or any of them!”

He knew Grayson had many sports cars in his garage.

Grayson turned to him and said, “Let’s make a deal, okay?”

Noah asked, “What kind of deal?”

Grayson said, “You and Hannah move back to Pierce Manor.”

Noah just stared at him, speechless.

He leaned against his car seat with a stubborn look on his face and said, “I’m not riding anymore.”

Grayson tried to persuade him. “I’ll drive you to school in a sports car every day. And when you’re a bit older, I’ll buy one for you.”

Noah snorted. “I’ll just have my Grandpa buy me one.”

Hearing this, Grayson was speechless.

He thought, ‘Well, this kid’s tough to trick.‘

He sighed and turned to start the car.

He dropped Noah off at preschool.

At that time, Grayson’s phone rang. It was an unknown number.

He frowned slightly and answered.

A voice, strangely familiar yet unfamiliar, came from it. “Grayson, it’s me.”

When Grayson heard this, his expression turned cold, and then he hung up immediately.

When Grayson got home from work, the home was quiet, and no one was there.

He called Eloise, but she didn’t answer. So he tried Noah instead.

Noah answered it and said, “Dad, we’re out having dinner with Juliette.”

Grayson asked, “Where’s Hannah?”

Noah replied, “She’s with us, too.”

Grayson rubbed his temples.

He thought, ‘Hannah’s got more energy than I. She was out and about with them this late.‘

Grayson said, “Give the phone to your mom.”

Noah handed his smartwatch to Eloise and said, “Mom, Dad’s calling.”

Eloise took it and said happily, “We’re out having dinner. You’ll have to eat dinner for yourself.”

Hearing this, Grayson felt speechless.

He thought, ‘Seriously? She’s leaving me to fend for myself. Heartless!‘

He asked, “When are you guys coming back?”

Eloise replied, “Not anytime soon. We’re going to sing after dinner.”

Grayson was shocked and asked, “You’re taking Hannah and Noah out for karaoke?”

Eloise replied, “Yeah.”

Grayson took a deep breath, saying, “Seriously, that’s not the kind of place for them.”

Hannah snatched the smartwatch and snapped, “Why can’t we go? Is it illegal or what? You’re always meddling. Keep it up, and Eloise will get sick of you.”

Juliette asked, “Are we really going to karaoke with Hannah later?”

Eloise shrugged and replied, “She wants to go, so what can we do?”

Juliette sighed and said, “The older folks have way more energy than we do. We’re just very exhausted. After work, we just want to lie on the couch.”

Eloise served her some lobster, saying, “Why don’t you go home and rest later? Noah and I can take Hannah.”
