Chapter 129 No One Can Interfere

Yvonne forced herself to stay calm, saying, “I’m just worried about you. I found out you were with a woman who has a kid, so I went to warn her.”

Grayson’s voice shot up as he said, “Who gave you the right to do that?”

Yvonne said, “Grayson, I’m your mother. Is it wrong for me to care about you?”

Grayson barely held back his anger and said, “You’re not my mother. You don’t deserve it.”

Yvonne’s body was shaking. She said, “Grayson, how could you say that to me? I wanted to take you with me back then, but things just didn’t work out. I…”

Grayson cut her off, “Don’t mention that. I don’t care. Listen up. Noah is my son with Eloise, and Eloise is the woman I’m going to marry. No one, not even God himself, can stop me.”

Yvonne froze. “That kid is yours? How is that even possible?” she asked.

Grayson didn’t answer her and just hung up.

Finn pushed the door open and immediately saw that Grayson looked absolutely grim.

He carefully delivered his report and ran away as fast as he could.

In the evening, Grayson noticed Eloise browsing travel sites on the tablet.

He asked, “Thinking about going out?”

Eloise nodded and said, “Yes, I’ve got some free time right now.”

Grayson said, “I’ll accompany you. Where do you want to go?”

Eloise said, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll just take Noah myself. You focus on your job.”

Hearing this, Grayson was speechless.

He looked at Eloise unhappily.

Eloise finally turned to meet his gaze and continued, “We want to go away for a while. You’re too busy for that.” Grayson wanted to say he could, but he really was busy. He had an overseas business trip coming up, and the company was about to launch a major project.

He said, “Can’t you just wait? Let me finish up, and I’ll go with you.”

Eloise kept scrolling through the travel sites and said, “Going on a trip is just a spur–of–the–moment thing. Once I get over it, I might not even want to go anymore. Besides, this time I just want to take Noah out for some fun.

“He’s already over four, and I haven’t even taken him anywhere yet. I feel kind of bad about it.”

Grayson murmured, a little hurt, “You never go anywhere with me either.”

Eloise sighed and said, “Come on, Grayson, don’t be like that.”

Grayson gave her another brooding look. When Eloise kept ignoring him, he gave Noah a playful kick, knocking him over.

Eloise was speechless.

Noah was deep into his Lego building when he suddenly got kicked. He spun around and shot Grayson a dirty look, clearly blaming him for the sneak attack.

Not wanting to deal with Grayson’s childish antics, Noah hugged his Lego set and moved further away, settling down to keep building in peace.

Chapter 120 No One Can Interfere

She remembered Grayson had been to Yaiville before, so she turned and asked, “Grayson, is Yaiville any fun? Is it good for a family trip with kids?”

Grayson replied, “It’s boring. Not a place for kids.”

Eloise was speechless.

She thought, ‘I should’ve known better than to ask Grayson!‘

The next day, three men and two women came to the house.

One of the men said, “Ms. Caldwell, Mr. Pierce asked me to come teach Noah coding.”

“Ms. Caldwell, I’m here to teach Noah math,” another man introduced himself.

“I’m Noah’s painting teacher,” a third man added.

“I’m Noah’s piano teacher,” a woman announced.

Eloise glanced at the last teacher, who was blonde with striking blue eyes. The woman flashed her a polite smile and said, “Hi.”

Eloise was stunned for a while.

Before, they’d talked about finding tutors for Noah, but Eloise hadn’t expected Grayson to act so quickly.

Eloise said, “Hello, everyone. It’s good to meet you all in person today. But I’d prefer to start the lessons in about a month since we’ll be traveling for a while.”

They looked a little uncomfortable, unsure what to do.

One of the tutors spoke up, “Mr. Pierce told us to start the job today.”

Before Eloise could say anything, Noah said excitedly, “Sure! I want to start with math.”

Eloise was speechless.

By the time she came back to her senses, Noah had already taken the math tutor to his room.

Eloise tried a few times to bring up the trip, but Noah was too busy gushing about everything he’d learned in class. He was like a little sponge, soaking up knowledge.

Eloise quietly canceled the plane tickets and lounged around at home, watching TV shows every day.

Grayson sat down beside her, absentmindedly playing with her fingers. “I’m heading out on a business trip tomorrow,” he said.

Eloise just glanced at him and replied, “Whatever.”

Hearing this, Grayson was speechless.

After sulking for a bit, Grayson finally said, “I’m heading to Franster for a business trip. Come with me.”

Eloise shook her head and said, “No.”

Grayson coaxed, “Come on, Franster is very funny.

“Round–trip tickets, hotel, everything’s all–inclusive. I’ll take care of it.

“You don’t have anything going on right now, so come with me. It’ll be a free trip.”

Eloise thought, ‘Honestly, that does sound pretty good.‘

She said, “Just put Noah’s lessons on hold and take him with us.”

Grayson didn’t speak. He got up, walked over to Noah, saying, “Hey, your mom’s coming with me to Franster for work. Do you want to go with us?”

Noah said casually, “Alright, go ahead. Take care of my mom.”

Grayson ruffled Noah’s fluffy hair and said, “Good boy!”

Noah just stared at him, speechless.

Grayson walked over to Eloise with a sigh and said, “He doesn’t want to go. He just wants to stay home and study.”
