Grayson Pierce and Eloise Caldwell novel Chapter 132

Chapter 132

Noah fixed his gaze on him, asking, “Do you really miss me?”

Grayson replied offhandedly, “Yeah.”

Noah said, “Alright, just hug me and don’t let go for ten minutes.”

Hearing this, Grayson was speechless.

Eloise couldn’t help but laugh.

She thought, ‘Noah’s got a bit of a sly streak.

Grayson tried to put Noah down.

But as soon as Noah sensed Grayson loosening his hold, he immediately wrapped his arms around Grayson’s neck and locked his legs around his waist.

Grayson was speechless.

Noah stayed latched onto Grayson as they walked in.

Hannah teased, “Look at you two. Just a few days apart and your relationship’s already gotten better.”

Eloise smiled without saying a word.

Grayson gave Noah a look, who was still hanging onto him, and said, “Get down.”

Noah gazed up at him with those big, innocent eyes, saying, “Dad, didn’t you say you missed me? Can you hold me a bit longer?”

Grayson clenched his jaw, but Noah quickly slipped down and ran over to Eloise. “Mom, Dad wants to hit me,” he said.

Eloise stared at Grayson with a quiet, judging look.

Grayson said, “I wasn’t going to hit him.”

Noah said, “Mom, I swear, I can feel he wants to hit me.”

Grayson was speechless.

Now he really did want to hit Noah. He thought, ‘Seriously, how can he accuse me out of nowhere?

‘Isn’t he making me look bad in front of Eloise?’

Eloise pulled Noah into her arms and stared at Grayson coldly.

‘Seriously? This is unreal, Grayson thought.

Noah flashed a sly grin.

After dinner at Pierce Manor, they returned to the villa on Clidale Road.

Hannah didn’t come for now.

Eloise and Noah stayed downstairs to play, while Grayson headed upstairs.

Noah asked, “Where did Dad go?”

Eloise replied, “Probably working.”

She didn’t give it a second thought.

When Eloise went upstairs and opened the door, she found Grayson sprawled out on her bed, dressed in black pajamas.

Grayson grinned and said, “Eloise, I’ve already taken a shower. Just waiting for you now.”

Eloise was speechless.

They’d been getting cozy every night while they were in Franster.

She was totally tired tonight and just wasn’t feeling it at all.

She said, “Go sleep in your own room. I just want to get some real rest tonight.”

Grayson paused for a couple of seconds and said, “I’m not doing anything tonight, just holding you while we sleep.”

Eloise shot him a skeptical look, asking, “Can I really trust you?”

“Of course. I swear on my honor,” Grayson replied.

Eloise pressed her lips together and said, “Alright, I’ll trust you this once. But if you break your promise, you can forget about it next time.”

With that, Eloise grabbed her pajamas and went to the bathroom.

After her shower, she climbed into bed, and Grayson leaned over.

Eloise shot him a wary look, asking, “What are you doing?”

Grayson wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on top of hers.

He replied, “Nothing, just holding you while we sleep.”

Eloise didn’t refuse. She just rested her head on his arm.

Five years ago, Grayson used to love holding her like this when they slept.

Eloise exaggeratedly blinked at Grayson, signaling him to play along.

Grayson reluctantly sat up, turned to face Noah with one eye closed.

He said, “Yeah, I really got something in my eye, can’t open it right now. If you don’t need anything, just head back to your room. I’ll have your mom help me a bit more.”

Noah stood in the doorway, hugging a picture book, his eyes scanning them up and down, checking them out suspiciously.

Eloise didn’t know how much Noah had actually seen, or if he believed their story.

Noah ran over, kicked off his shoes, jumped onto the bed, wedged himself right between Eloise and Grayson, with his butt facing Grayson.

He asked, “Mom, can you read me this book?”

Hearing this, Grayson was speechless.

Eloise could never refuse irresistibly cute Noah.

She took the picture book and read it to him in a gentle voice.

The book wasn’t long, so she finished it quickly.

In fact, Noah could read it himself, but he just wanted Eloise to read it to him.

He just missed Eloise.

When Eloise finished reading, she handed the book back to him and said, “Time for bed now.”

Noah glanced over at Grayson, who was scrolling through his phone. “Dad, your eye’s fine now. Aren’t you going?” he asked.

Grayson kept a straight face and replied, “Your mom and I have something to discuss. Go on, get to bed.”

Noah asked, “What is it?”

Grayson replied, “It’s grown-up stuff, you don’t need to know.”

Noah threw the picture book aside, flopped down, and pulled the blanket over himself.

He said, “I want to sleep with Mom tonight. Dad, can’t you talk to her tomorrow?”

Grayson shot back, “No way! Get back to your own room. You’re way too old to be sleeping with your mom

Noah pouted, “I’m not going anywhere. I’m still your baby.”
