Eloise pressed, “Juliette, are you still hiding things from me? Come on, everyone could see something was off between you two today.”

Juliette let out a sigh and said, “Seriously, we didn’t fight. I just don’t want to have sex with him anymore.”

Eloise sat down beside her, asking, “Weren’t you really into him? Why don’t you want to have sex with him anymore?”

Juliette replied, “Sleeping with the same guy for too long gets so dull. I just want to try something different.”

Eloise asked, “So, you got a new crush?”

Juliette replied, “Nope.”

Eloise pressed, “Then what’s gotten into you all of a sudden?”

Rhys raised an eyebrow and said, “Ms. Reed is really something. Now that she knows you’re the heir to a wealthy family, shouldn’t she be holding onto you for dear life?

“If she married you, she’d go from just anyone to a high-society wife overnight. Why would she want to break things off now? What’s going through her head?”

Colton gave a bitter smile. He honestly couldn’t figure Juliette out either.

He was head over heels for her, and then out of nowhere, but Juliette just wanted to leave.

He was so stunned, it felt like he could barely catch his breath.

As Colton and Rhys were about to leave, they spotted Grayson in a corner of the yard, leaning against the wall with the ember of his cigarette flickering in his hand.

The haze of smoke did nothing to mask the brooding look on his face.

The two stopped in their tracks for a moment.

Rhys walked over and gave him a pat on the shoulder, asking, “Why the gloomy look? Didn’t you two move in together? And you finally scored, right?”

Colton chimed in, “Rhys is right. You should be happy. I’m way worse off than you right now.”

Grayson blew out a smoke ring and said, “Yeah, you really are.”

With that, he crushed out his cigarette and headed back inside, leaving the two of them standing there looking miserable.

Juliette walked out of the elevator and was caught off guard for a moment when she spotted a tall figure waiting by her door.

She put on a calm face, walked over, and opened the door.

Colton followed her.

Juliette turned to him and asked, “Did you come here for something?”

Colton replied, “I’m not okay with breaking up.”

Colton shrugged, saying, “I just feel like we vibe. What do you think?”

Juliette replied, “Not really.”

She turned and walked into the bedroom.

Colton followed her in and hugged her from behind, sounding all needy.

He pleaded, “Come on, just one more time?”

Juliette hated herself for being so weak-willed, for letting her lust take over. Once again, she hooked up with Colton.

That night, Colton pulled out all the stops to please her, treating her like royalty from start to finish.
