Chapter 168 Making Up?
Vivian slapped Harvey. “This is all your fault. You’ve ruined our family.”
Harvey waved it off. “Forget that for now. We need to deal with the company. How are we gonna fix this?”
Vivian looked up, her eyes red and puffy. “Give me Lorelei’s number and address. I’m going to find her.”
“What are you gonna do?” Harvey asked.
“None of your business,” Vivian shot back.
“Honey, don’t do anything reckless,” Harvey said.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got this. Right now, only Lorelei can deal with Eloise, her precious daughter, Vivian replied.
Lorelei was caught off guard when she opened the door and saw Vivian standing there.
Her face darkened. “What are you doing here?”
Vivian pushed past her and walked in, with Chloe following right behind.
Chloe spun around and slapped Lorelei across the face.
Bobby came out of the guest room, his expression changing instantly. He stepped in front of Lorelei and shoved Chloe back.
“What the hell are you doing? Who are you people, barging into my house and hitting my mom?” Bobby snapped.
Chloe steadied herself and yelled, “Who are we? You’re Bobby, Eloise’s brother, right? Isn’t your mom the one who wrecked my family?”
Bobby’s face changed as he looked at Vivian. “You’re from the Carter family?”
“That’s right! I’m Chloe Carter. Your mom went after my dad, so I’m here to set her straight,” Chloe shot back.
Bobby’s face felt like it was on fire, his hands clenched tight.
“That was years ago. My mom and your dad have nothing to do with each other anymore. You have no right barging in and hitting her,” Bobby snapped.
“I’ll hit her if I want! She’s a tramp, just like Eloise!” Chloe spat.
She lunged at Lorelei, but Bobby shoved her back.
“That’s enough! If you keep this up, I’m calling the cops,” Bobby warned.
Chloe put her hands on her hips. “Go ahead, call the cops! Let them arrest your mom too. Shameless!”
Lorelei glanced at Vivian.
‘That bitch sent her daughter here just to make a scene, Lorelei thought.
“Get the hell out of my house, now!” Lorelei snapped.
Vivian pulled Chloe aside.
She shot Lorelei a mocking look. “I’m not here to stir up trouble today.”
Lorelei rolled her eyes.
‘Seriously? Wasn’t that exactly what you were just doing?’ She thought.
Vivian said, “Eloise is your daughter. She manipulated Grayson Into going after the Carter family, and thanks to her, we’ve lost several projects. You better keep her in check.”
Lorelei was taken aback for a moment.
Who would’ve thought that damn girl had this kind of ability?
She couldn’t help but let out a gloating la

“Serves you right!” Lorelei said with a sneer.
Chloe rolled up her sleeves, about to make another move on Lorelei, but Vivian quickly pulled her back.
Vivian sneered, “Your daughter sure knows how to seduce men, just like her mother. Honestly, I have to give you credit.”
“Lorelei, you’d better come with me to see Eloise. Tell her to make Grayson return the projects to us,” Vivian said sharply.
Lorelei laughed so hard she could barely stand straight. “Vivian, you seriously think I’d help you? We’re nothing to each other. You’re the one I hate most. I’d love to see the Carter family go bankrupt and all of you begging on the streets. Help you? What a joke.”
Vivian replied coolly, “Suit yourself.”
She turned to Bobby. “You’ll be out of a job soon. No company in Ekloland will hire you. I can destroy your reputation so thoroughly you’ll never bounce back.”
“Vivian! You’re a venomous woman!” Lorelei screamed, her voice trembling with fury.
Vivian burst out laughing. “Face it, Lorelei. You’ll never beat me.”
She shot Vivian a death glare, jaw clenched tight.
She wished she could rip Vivian to shreds, drink her blood.
Bobby frowned. “Mom, don’t let her push you around. We can go back to Ucrevine.”
Vivian sneered, “You think running off to Ucrevine means I can’t touch you? I’ve got family over there…”
Lorelei snapped, “Shut up!”
She paused for a couple seconds, then said, “I’ll call Eloise.”
Vivian smirked, clearly pleased. “Call her and tell her to meet you at this address.”
She shoved a piece of paper into Lorelei’s hand.
Eloise couldn’t help but find Lorelei hilarious lately. She actually called her out of nowhere.
After all those years of never reaching out, now Lorelei was suddenly acting like she’d lost her mind.
Driven by curiosity, Eloise answered, “Yeah? What’s up?”
Lorelei felt irritated by Eloise’s icy tone.
“I need to talk to you. Come out and meet me,” Lorelei said.
“What do you want? Just spit it out over the phone,” Eloise said, sounding bored,
“I can’t explain it over the phone,” Lorelei pressed.
“What’s so complicated? There’s nothing for us to talk about,” Eloise replied, icy as ever.
“Just come out already. Why are you making this so hard?” Lorelei snapped.
“Wow, that’s your attitude? Fine, forget it. No need to meet,” Eloise said, dripping with sarcasm.
“Eloise, are you just hell-bent on driving me crazy?” Lorelei snapped.
“Bad weeds never die, Mom. You’re not going anywhere that easy,” Eloise shot back.
“You! You rebellious little brat!” Lorelei screamed, shaking with rage.
Bobby couldn’t take it anymore. He grabbed the phone and said, “Eloise, if you don’t want anything bad to happen to Mom, just get over here.”
Eloise gave a chilly laugh. “With Mr. Devoted Son around, she’ll be just fine. If she passes out, you can carry her to the hospital. If she needs blood, you can bleed yourself dry for her. Why should I bother? This has
nothing to do with me.”
Bobby was left speechless.

Chapter 168 Making Up?
Before he could get another word out, Eloise had already hung up.
Joslyn was loaded down with shopping bags, and she turned to Eloise. “Was that your morn on the phone?”
Eloise was also carrying a bunch of bags.
Joslyn had asked her to go shopping, and since Eloise was bored, she tagged along.
With money in her pocket, for the first time ever, Eloise didn’t even bother checking the price tags today.
She had to admit, shopping really did put her in a good mood.
But that call from Lorelei really killed her shopping buzz.
She just gave a bland, half-hearted smile.
“She wants to meet up, but I have no clue what for. She just keeps insisting I see her, Eloise said, sounding bored.
Joslyn’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Come on, Eloise! What, are you scared of them or something? Go show them who’s boss!”
Eloise fell silent.
Joslyn tossed her bags aside and grabbed Eloise’s phone.
Bobby had sent Eloise an address. It was an upscale club in Ekloland.
Joslyn raised an eyebrow, puzzled.
“Are your mom and brother rich or something? They actually hang out at places like this?”.
Eloise was puzzled too. She had no idea what Lorelei was scheming this time.
Joslyn grinned. “Even if it’s a lion’s den, we’re not scared. We’ve got backup.”
