Chapter 64 Tell Eloise

“Grayson, are you still holding a grudge because I was the one who ended things?” Eloise asked.

Grayson replied, “Yeah, I am. So this time, it’s my turn to decide. You have no choice but to be with me. Eloise, we’re destined to be tangled up together.”

Eloise let out a sigh. “What about your first love?”

Grayson’s voice turned colder. “I’ve already told you, Camille means nothing to me.”

Eloise looked away, gazing out the car window.

Grayson knew she didn’t buy it. But he was determined to set the record straight. The thought that Camille had actually gone to Eloise and spun those lies made his face grow even darker.

The Bentley pulled up outside VirtuFusion Group. Grayson got out, opened the back door, and took Eloise by the hand as they got out together.

A security guard immediately walked forward to take the keys and park the car. His eyes widened when he saw Grayson actually holding a woman’s hand. And he recognized her. It was Eloise.

His mouth dropped open in shock. ‘What the hell is going on?’ he thought.

Camille had been called downstairs by Finn. When the elevator doors slid open, she saw Grayson, holding Eloise’s hand. Eloise tried to pull away, but Grayson wouldn’t let go.

When Camille caught sight of Grayson’s expression, her heart skipped a beat. She felt a sudden urge to flee. But she fought it down.

Camille forced a stiff smile and walked over. “Grayson, Finn called me down. Were you the one who wanted to

see me?”

Grayson’s face was frosty, and the way he looked at Camille made Camille’s skin crawl. “Camille, tell Eloise what you are to me,” he said coldly.

Hearing this, Camille froze.

People were staring, and Eloise’s cheeks burned with embarrassment. She tried to pull her hand free from Grayson’s grip, but he wouldn’t budge.

Eloise felt like she was losing it. With all these people watching, there was no way she could explain her relationship with Grayson now.

Grayson shot Camille a frosty glare. Camille was frozen, at a loss for words. She never expected Eloise to have the nerve to go and complain to Grayson.

She thought that once she made it clear she and Grayson were together, Eloise would be too humiliated to show up around them again. She’d seriously underestimated Eloise.

Camille hesitated, her voice barely above a whisper. “Grayson…”

Grayson cut Camille off coldly, “Address me as Mr. Pierce.”

“Mr. Pierce, I… please, don’t believe those rumors,” Camille stammered.

“Answer my question,” Grayson said coldly.

Camille’s eyes were red and watery as she looked at him, her voice full of hurt. “Grayson, are you really going to put me on the spot like this, with everyone watching?”

She’d been letting everyone at the office think she had something going on with Grayson, never bothering to deny the gossip that she was his so-called first love.

Now he wanted her to admit in front of everyone that there was nothing between them. That would just make her look like a total fool.

Grayson’s expression turned even icier. “Camille, don’t make me lose my temper.”

re going to treat me?” she said, her voice trembling.

“Camille, if you hadn’t saved me back then, you wouldn’t even be here right now,” Grayson shot back.

Camille tried to play the emotional card again. “You know how I feel about you. Why are you humiliating me like this?”

Grayson finally lost his patience. “Enough. Go to HR and process your resignation.”

Camille’s face fell, her expression twisting in shock. ‘Is Grayson really kicking me out? No way. I can’t let this happen, she thought, panicking.

If she left VirtuFusion Group, she’d lose every chance to see Grayson again.

“Fine, I’ll say it,” Camille said. She glared at Eloise, her eyes burning with resentment. “Ms. Caldwell, sorry, I lied. There’s nothing between me and Mr. Pierce. We’re just regular friends.”

As soon as the words left her mouth, Camille clenched her fists so tight her nails broke the skin, drawing blood. She hated Eloise with every fiber of her being.

Eloise was stunned. She hadn’t expected things to turn out like this.

Grayson walked straight up to Eloise and gripped her shoulders. Bending down slightly, he locked his eyes onto hers.

“Eloise, do you believe me now? There’s nothing between me and her. She’s not my first love. You are,” he said.

Eloise’s face flushed bright red. She stood frozen, utterly speechless.

Camille ran off, mortified and furious.

The lobby was buzzing with gossip.

“Mr. Pierce totally has a thing for Ms. Caldwell,” someone whispered.

“Seriously? Just a couple days ago, Camille was at dinner with us, and when someone asked when she and Mr. Pierce were getting married, she blushed and said ‘soon.’

“Turns out she was just living in her own fantasy,” another person snickered.

“We even asked her if she was Mr. Pierce’s first love, and she didn’t deny it. Can you believe how shameless she is? She was just trying to fake a connection with him,” a third person scoffed.

“Word is, she saved Mr. Pierce’s life once, so he owed her big time, sent her overseas for school, brought her back and gave her a job.

“But that wasn’t enough for her. She was even aiming to marry him. She’s got some serious nerve,” a fourth person gossiped.

“Seriously? Now that she’s been called out, it’s so embarrassing. If I were her, I’d never show my face here again,” the first person whispered.

“She’s shameless. Nothing gets to her,” the second person snickered.

Eloise pushed Grayson away and ran off. A smile touched Grayson’s lips, and he went after her.

Eloise was about to flag down a cab when Grayson caught her by the waist, bundled her into his car, and locked the door. Then he walked around and got into the driver’s seat.

Eloise glared at him. “Satisfied now?”

Grayson smirked. “If you say yes and become my girlfriend, that would be perfect.”

“Not a chance,” Eloise shot back.

Grayson turned to her, still confident. “Doesn’t matter. I’ll wait for the day you finally give in.”

“Grayson, it’s never going to happen,” Eloise said, her voice firm.

“I told you this time I’m the one in control,” Grayson replied, his tone unyielding.

“Why do you always have to be so damn controlling?” Eloise shot back.

Grayson shrugged, a smirk on his lips. “That’s just how I am. Better get used to it.”

Eloise turned her head away, refusing to look at him.

Grayson started the car. “I’ll take you home.”

Eloise didn’t say a word.

Camille found a quiet corner and vented all her rage. When she left, a kitten lay there, not breathing anymore.

Camille returned to her desk, and her coworkers were all glaring at her with contempt. She gripped her cup so tightly her nails nearly broke.
