Chapter 68 She Has A Son
With a bang, the door shut tight.
Eloise stood there for a moment, didn’t bother with the bag, and headed straight back to her room.
After a short while, Noah knocked on the door and walked in. “Mom, he just asked me something,” he said.
Eloise turned to him. “What did he ask you?”
“He wanted to know if you were hiding any secrets from him,” Noah replied.
Eloise paused for a moment, a bit taken aback. “How did you answer him?” she asked.
“I didn’t tell him anything,” Noah replied.
Eloise pressed her lips together and managed a small smile. “Alright. Go get some sleep.”
Noah gave her a look, like he wanted to say something, but in the end, he just closed the door and left.
Eloise sat on her bed, staring out into the darkness beyond the window. She knew she needed to have a real talk with Grayson soon.
If Grayson really wanted to know her secret, all he had to do was run a background check and he’d know everything. But he never did. Honestly, she had no clue what was going on in his head.
Grayson lingered downstairs, not in a hurry to leave. He lit up a cigarette and took a drag.
Then he dialed a number on his phone. “I need you to check someone out for me.”
There was a brief silence on the other end. “Who?”
Grayson didn’t say a word. He took a long drag, blew out a stream of smoke, and hung up the phone in frustration.
The person on the other end was left totally baffled. “What the hell?” the gu
Grayson finished his cigarette, opened the window to clear the air, and then left.

Camille was at work when her phone rang. She saw the caller ID, jumped up, and rushed off to the restroom to take the call. “Hello?” she answered.
“Ms. Hopkins, I’ve got the info you wanted on that person,” the voice on the other end said.
“Did you find anything shady about her?” Camille asked.
“She has a son. Not sure if that’s considered a scandal,” the guy replied.
Camille’s eyes gleamed with excitement. “Are you sure? She really has a son?” she asked eagerly.
“Yeah, that’s right. Her son is four, born in Ucrevine,” the guy confirmed.
“Is the kid with her now?” Camille pressed.
“He is. The boy goes to Starlight Preschool around here,” the guy replied.
“Did she ever get married?” Camille asked.
“No, she had him without getting married,” the guy said.
“Who’s the father?” Camille pressed.
“No luck on that,” the guy replied.
“Then keep looking. I need to know who the dad is, whatever it takes,” Camille shot back.
“Ms. Hopkins, that’s gonna be tricky,” the guy said.
“Don’t worry, I’ll pay you extra,” Camille said.
“Alright, I’ll give it a shot,” the guy said. “By the way, I’ve sent all the info on Ms. Caldwell to your email.
“Okay, I’ll send you the rest of the payment in a bit. Once you find out who the kid’s dad is, I’ll send you another bonus,” Camille said.

Chapter 68 She Has A Son
When Camille got home, she immediately checked her email for Eloise’s file.
Eloise’s family background was nothing special. Her father was a mystery, she had a half-brother from her mother’s side, and her mom never really liked her.
But one thing caught Camille’s eye. Eloise’s very first job after graduation was at a branch of the Pierce family’
s company. Two years into the job, she got pregnant out of wedlock and had a son.
The private investigator had also sent her a photo. Eloise’s son was the spitting image of her.
Camille just couldn’t wrap her head around it. Eloise’s son lived with her, so Grayson must know about him.
‘What kind of guy would be cool with dating a woman who already has a kid?’ Camille thought to herself.
Just thinking about how Grayson would rather choose a single mom over her made Camille’s hatred burn even hotter.
‘Hannah probably has no clue Eloise has a kid. No way the Pierce family would ever let Grayson date a woman like her. Eloise daydreaming about marrying Grayson? What a joke,’ Camille scoffed inwardly.
On Wednesday, Noah went to preschool. After work, Eloise swung by to pick him up.
Parking near the preschool was tough. So Eloise parked farther away and walked over to the preschool
entrance.
After picking up Noah, Eloise and her son stopped by a fruit truck on the roadside and picked up some fruit.
Camille stood nearby, watching as Eloise led the little boy to her car and got in.
She checked the photo on her phone. A smug smile spread across Camille’s face.
Hannah was about to have lunch when a servant came in. “Mrs. Pierce, Ms. Hopkir

and didn’t even want
When Camille got the servant’s reply, she bit her lip in frustration. Camille had just heard Hannah inside. She was definitely home.
‘So she’s just avoiding me,’ Camille thought, her irritation mounting.
Camille stopped the servant. “Tell Mrs. Pierce I need to speak with her. It’s urgent. It’s about Eloise.”
The servant had no choice but to go back inside and report.
When Hannah heard what Camille wanted, her face darkened even more. “Send her away. She’s just trying to slander Eloise right in front of me. I’m not giving her that chance,” she snapped.
The servant hurried out. “Ms. Hopkins, you need to leave. Mrs. Pierce doesn’t want to see you.”
Camille frowned. “Did you actually tell her what I said?”
The servant sighed, “Seriously, I told her exactly what you said. Just go. Mrs. Pierce isn’t going to see you.”
Camille left, clearly unhappy about it.
After kicking Camille out, Hannah grabbed a quick lunch, caught a short nap, and got ready to head over to the Hayes Group.
It was still early, so she figured she’d just hang out at the café downstairs and wait for Eloise to get off work.
Before leaving, she called Grayson. “Hey, Grayson, dinner tonight. I’ve already booked the restaurant, so don’t even think about skipping.”
Grayson said, “What’s with the sudden dinner plans?”
“What, I can’t go out and enjoy a nice meal once in a while? I just want to switch things up,” Hannah retorted. “Fine, I’ll join you,” Grayson replied.
Hannah hung up, feeling pretty pleased with herself.

Chapter 68 She Has A Son
Her bodyguard was waiting by the luxury car at the entrance. As soon as Hannah walked out the door, Camille jumped out from behind the corner.
“Mrs. Pierce, I need to talk to you,” Camille called out.
Hannah hadn’t expected Camille to be this persistent. She must’ve been lurking here since noon, just waiting for her chance.
Hannah looked seriously annoyed. “I don’t have time for this right now,” she said coldly.
The bodyguard stepped in front of Camille, blocking her way.
Camille shouted, “Mrs. Pierce, please. I really need to talk to you. It’s super important. Just give me five minutes.”
Hannah acted like she didn’t hear a word Camille said and headed straight for the car.
Camille yelled at the top of her lungs, “Mrs. Pierce, Eloise has a son. She had a child without ever getting married.”
Hannah froze, and turned to face Camille. “What did you just say?” she demanded.
Camille could tell the Pierces had no idea Eloise had a kid.
“Grandma, Eloise has a kid. He’s four. Look, this is Eloise’s kid, and here’s her picking him up after school,” Camille said, showing the photos.
Hannah stared at the photos, her eyes wide with shock. She remembered that time she had fainted on the street. Eloise had called for help and even accompanied her to the hospital.
At the hospital entrance, she’d vaguely seen Eloise holding a kid’s hand, but figured she was just seeing things because she was so out of it.
When Hannah woke up, she didn’t think much of it. Turns out, she hadn’t been imagining things after all. Eloise really was holding a kid’s hand that day.
“Is that kid really Eloise’s?” Hannah asked, her voice shaking with disbelief.
Camille nodded. “Absolutely. I had someone dig into it. She gave birth in Ucrevine. I even found her prenatal checkups and the hospital delivery records.”
