She tossed the dirty laundry into the washing machine, folded the clean clothes, and started getting breakfast ready for the next morning.

She was so busy she didn’t even have a moment to sit down.

Grayson wanted to help out, so he looked around, spotted a broom, and started messing around with it, giving the floor a casual sweep.

Eloise turned to look at him, blinking in surprise.

But she didn’t bother to stop him and just let him do whatever he wanted.

Noah came out of the bathroom after his shower, wearing the cute yellow pajamas Eloise had just bought him. He looked so soft and adorable, it was hard not to want to pinch his cheeks.

Eloise grinned and walked over, cupping Noah’s face. Before he could react, she planted a big smooch right on his cheek.

Noah was left speechless.

He wiped his face.

“Mom, I’m going to bed. Goodnight,” he said.

“Goodnight, sweetie!” Eloise replied.

Noah glanced at Grayson, about to say goodnight, but when he saw his dad’s face all gloomy and annoyed, he stopped short.

He swallowed nervously.

‘Is Dad gonna hit me?’ Noah wondered.

‘Seriously, we just reunited. If he’s gonna hit me, shouldn’t he wait a little?’ he thought.

Noah ducked his head and bolted for his room, slamming the door shut with a loud bang.

Just as Eloise turned around, Grayson pulled her close and sealed her lips with a sudden, possessive kiss.

Eloise’s eyes went wide, and she pushed against his chest in surprise.

Grayson kissed her so fiercely, only releasing her when she was breathless.

“Grayson!” Eloise shouted.

She suddenly realized her voice was too loud. Noah might hear, and she quickly lowered it.

She hissed, “Grayson, have you lost your mind? We’re nothing now, so stop pulling stuff like this on me!”

Grayson smirked, still lingering on the taste of her lips.

‘So sweet… just like candy,’ he thought.

“Grayson! Are you even listening to me?” Eloise snapped.

“Yeah, I heard you,” Grayson replied.

He tossed back the reply and went back to messing around with the broom.

Eloise felt like all her anger was wasted on him. Fuming, she stormed off to her room, grabbed her pajamas, and headed for the bathroom.

When Eloise came out of the shower, she didn’t see Grayson in the living room and thought he’d

home.

She opened her bedroom door and spotted him standing by the window, making her frown.

“Shouldn’t you be heading home?” she said.

Grayson walked right up to her, his eyes locked on her lips.

After her shower, her lips looked even softer.

‘God, I really want to kiss her…’ he thought.

Eloise caught the look in his eyes and instinctively took a step back, keeping her guard up.

Grayson let out a low chuckle. “Eloise, if I really wanted to do something, you wouldn’t be able to stop me.”

Eloise glared at him, totally fed up.

“I’m exhausted. I need to sleep. Just go,” she said.

Grayson stayed put. Out of nowhere, he asked, “Why did you break up with me back then?”

Eloise was momentarily stunned, then looked up at him.

“What’s the use talking about this now?” she replied.

“Of course it does. I want to know,” Grayson pressed.

“But I don’t want to tell you,” Eloise replied, her tone firm.

“Eloise…” Grayson murmured, his voice soft and pleading.

“I’m tired,” Eloise interrupted him.

Grayson stared at her for a moment, then turned and walked out of the room.

Eloise leaned against the door, listening as the front door opened and closed. Grayson was leaving.

Grayson left.

When Juliette got home from work, she spotted Colton leaning against her front door, a bag of groceries at his feet.

She couldn’t help but smile.

All the tiredness from the day just melted away.

“Hey, Juliette, open up!” Colton called out.

Juliette walked over with a smile and opened the door. Colton followed her in, dropped the grocery bag on the floor, and immediately started making out with her.

Juliette absolutely loved Colton’s passionate energy.

They got hot and heavy in the living room before Colton finally, though a bit unwilling, went off to cook.

Juliette flopped onto the couch, so worn out she didn’t even want to move a finger.

When Colton finished cooking, he scooped her up and carried her to the dining room.

Juliette wrapped her arms around his neck, grinning like a cat that got the cream.

“What are you smiling about?” Colton asked.

“I’m happy! Feels amazing!” Juliette replied.

Colton just adored how upfront Juliette was.

“Same here,” Colton grinned.

After dinner, Juliette went to take a shower while Colton took care of the dishes and the kitchen.

Juliette wasn’t into cooking and couldn’t really do it anyway, so she just let Colton handle the kitchen without a second thought.

By the time Colton finished the dishes, took a shower, and came into the bedroom, Juliette was already half- asleep.

Colton lifted the covers and slid in next to her, his hands starting to roam all over,

Juliette stopped him. “Nope, I have work tomorrow.”

Colton looked a little put out. “Juliette, I’m still full of energy, you know.”

Juliette gave his cheek a playful pat.

‘Man, his skin is seriously flawless,’ she thought.

“Just keep saving it up, and when the weekend comes, your girl will make sure you have a blast,” she teased.

Colton was left speechless.

He let out a deep breath and lay back down.

Juliette snuggled up against his chest, her breathing slowly evening out.

Colton lay there, staring at the ceiling, not the slightest bit sleepy. ‘Great, now I’m wide awake,’ he thought, sighing inwardly.

The next morning, after having the breakfast Colton made, Juliette hurried out the door to get to work.

Colton tidied up a bit and was about to head out when he heard someone knocking at the door.

He walked over and opened it.

There was a man standing at the door.

Colton couldn’t help but smirk. ‘Well, speak of the devil. I actually know this guy, he thought.

It was Dustin Carter, the eldest son of the Carter family.

Dustin didn’t recognize Colton at all.

Colton was the only son of the Morley family, but he never got involved in the family business and barely ever showed up anywhere.

Dustin paused for a second when he saw Colton, then quickly said, “Sorry, wrong door.”

With that, he turned and walked away.

Colton was left speechless.
