Chapter 91 Just a Mix Up
Chapter 91 Just a Mix-Up
Juliette burst out laughing. “Eloise, are you crushing on me or something? You really went all out with this giant bouquet.”
“Who would’ve thought my very first bouquet would come from you,” she added.
Eloise linked arms with her and led her into the restaurant. “Are you happy?”
Juliette nodded. “Yeah, I’m happy, but…”
She shoved the bouquet back into Eloise’s hands. “These flowers are from Grayson, right? I can’t take them. What if Mr. Pierce shows up and demands them back? That’d be so awkward for me.”
Eloise sighed, looking down at the bouquet in her arms, clearly troubled.
‘Seriously, is there really no one who’ll take these flowers?’ she thought.
After they sat down, they ordered their food.
When Juliette heard Eloise had gone to the Pierce family yesterday, she grinned and asked, “So, how was it? Are the Pierce family easy to get along with?”
Eloise took a sip of water. “Everything was great, except Grayson’s aunt doesn’t really like me. But they all love Noah. They really do.”
“Then what are you waiting for? Just marry Grayson already!” Juliette exclaimed.
‘He’s rich, his family’s super chill, Grayson totally likes Eloise, and they’ve already got a kid together, Juliette thought.
‘Come on, just marry him!’ she urged herself.
‘At least if she marries him, she won’t have to worry about raising the kid alone, Juliette reasoned.
Eloise gave a helpless smile and switched topics. “Juliette, you’ve got that glow lately. You and Colton must be having a great time together.”
Juliette patted her cheeks. “Yeah, I’ve been pretty happy.”
“Juliette?” A familiar voice called out from behind, and Juliette froze.
Eloise turned to see a mature man walking toward them.
Dustin’s eyes widened. “Juliette, it really is you!”
Juliette shot him an impatient look. “Yeah, it’s me. What do you want? We’re eating.”
*Juliette, did you move? I went to your place today, but there was someone else living there,” Dustin said.
Juliette was caught off guard for a second.
‘He must’ve seen Colton, she thought.
“Yeah, I moved,” she replied.
“Where did you move to?” Dustin asked.
“Why does it matter to you where I moved? What, you want to come over or something?” Juliette shot back.
“I…” Dustin stammered.
Juliette let out a cold laugh. “I’m not inviting you.”
“Juliette, you’ve got quite the temper. I’ve given you enough time, so stop making a scene. After everything we’ ve been through, I don’t believe you could really just walk away from me,” Dustin said.
He reached out to grab Juliette’s hand, but Eloise suddenly threw a glass of water at him.
He never saw it coming and got soaked right in the face.
Juliette was speechless.
She looked at Eloise in surprise, her eyes suddenly misting over and a bittersweet ache blooming in her chest.

Dustin wiped his face, then turned to Eloise, his gaze frosty and cold.
He moved toward Eloise, danger radiating off him.
Juliette jumped up and stepped in front of Eloise. “This has nothing to do with her. If you’ve got a problem, take it out on me.”
Dustin looked at Juliette. “I’m willing to let it slide, just don’t be mad. Come back to me, let’s get back together…”
Before he could finish, Eloise grabbed the bouquet and, stepping past Juliette, chucked it right at Dustin.
*Asshole! Cheating scumbag! Why would she ever go back to you? Marry you? Would you even dare?” Eloise shouted. “You don’t have it in you, do you? Scumbag! Can’t stick to one woman, always chasing after the next best thing.”
“Let me tell you, Juliette used to be fooled by you, but now she’s wised up. She wouldn’t touch you with a ten- foot pole, you old loser. Go home and stay chained to your fiancée, and stop messing up other people’s lives!” Eloise shouted.
Dustin dodged Eloise’s attack, his face dark as thunderclouds.
Never in his life had anyone roasted him like this or dared to lay a finger on him.
He grabbed Eloise’s wrist and raised his hand, threatening to hit her.
Juliette had been enjoying the show, but when she saw this, she nearly jumped out of her seat in shock. She was about to rush over, but someone moved even faster.
Grayson seized Dustin’s wrist, his whole vibe turning so menacing that the air seemed to freeze.
Dustin’s eyes went wide as he realized who was standing in front of him. “Mr. Pierce?”
Grayson’s voice was icy. “Mr. Dustin, were you seriously about to lay a hand on my woman?”
Dustin turned to look at Eloise.
‘No wonder she seemed so familiar,’ he thought. ‘She’s the one who’s been all over the gossip with Grayson these past couple of days.
Rumor had it she got a four-year-old kid, but still managed to get tangled up with Grayson.
The news might’ve been pulled, but everyone in high society still knew the story.
He’d even heard that Grayson had brought her back to the Pierce family.
Grayson was determined to marry her, no matter what.
Dustin let go of Eloise. “Mr. Pierce, there’s been a misunderstanding.”
“A misunderstanding?” Grayson snapped back.
Grayson’s fist smashed right into Dustin’s face.
Dustin crashed to the floor, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth.
Grayson gave a cold chuckle. “Oops, guess that was a misunderstanding too.”
Everyone was speechless.
Dustin grabbed the chair to steady himself as he got up. “Mr. Pierce, that’s way over the top!”
Grayson shot him a sideways glance. “I told you, it was just a misunderstanding. Don’t take it so seriously. Try to act like a grown-up.”
Dustin was so furious he nearly passed out.
He shot Juliette a glare, gritted his teeth, and stormed out of the restaurant.
He knew better than to mess with the Pierce family.
Eloise glanced at Grayson, and after a bit of awkward silence, finally mumbled, “Thanks.”
Grayson walked up, reached out and pinched her cheek, his voice tinged with annoyance. “Eloise, you’ve got guts! Do you even know who that guy is?”

Eloise grabbed his hand. “Doesn’t matter who he is. All I know is he’s a scumbag. He had it coming.”
Grayson let out an exasperated chuckle, then grabbed her other cheek with his free hand, squishing her face until it was all out of shape.
“Eloise, you can’t just rush into things like that. Getting into it with a guy face-to-face is just asking for trouble. You’ll only end up on the losing side. Be smart about it, okay? Next time, let me handle it for you. I’ll make sure he pays,” he said.
“If I hadn’t shown up just now, you would’ve gotten smacked for sure,” he added.
Grayson had squished Eloise’s cheeks so much her lips were pouting, and she shoved him away, clearly annoyed.
Grayson tsk-tsked, obviously still itching to tease her some more.
Eloise turned around and saw Juliette sitting in her chair, propping her face up with both hands, beaming at them.
“Don’t mind me, carry on,” Juliette teased.
Eloise awkwardly took her seat.
Juliette grinned. “Mr. Pierce, want to eat with us?”
Grayson took a seat at the next table. “Don’t mind me. I’ll just sit here.”
Grayson bent down and picked up the bouquet, which was now nothing but bare stems, and gave her a look.
Eloise lowered her head, looking sheepish.
Grayson didn’t say a word, just handed the stems to the cleaning staff.
After they finished eating, Eloise went to pay, but the waiter told her, “Miss, that guy already paid for you.”
