He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 107

Theresia frowned, feeling a slight pressure on her wrist. When she looked down, she realized Lawrence was holding onto her.

Without giving him a chance to say anything, she pulled her arm away with force.

She fixed him with a cold, disgusted look. “Don’t touch me. Keep your dirty hands off.”

Every time they crossed paths lately, Theresia made it painfully clear to Lawrence how impossible forgiveness would be. She’d loved him once, loved him with everything, but he’d wrecked all of it.

And now there was Jared, always lurking, always watching. Jared was the biggest threat of all.

Lawrence saw the distance in her eyes, and his own gaze turned dark. “Theresia, I’m not dirty. I never touched Patti. I swear, you have to believe me.”

His words made Theresia feel sick.

How could he even say that? It wasn’t just about Patti. Wasn’t there also an Ophelia? And did he really think this was the point?

Maybe it mattered before. But the woman she was now couldn’t care less about any of that.

What she cared about was seeing him behind bars for as long as possible.

She let out a sharp, sarcastic laugh. “Whether you slept with Patti or not has nothing to do with me.”

He moved to block the car door, but Theresia had no interest in wasting another second on him. She simply turned and headed for the curb to flag down a cab.

As she walked away, Lawrence hurried after her, his voice rough. “Theresia, why won’t you accept my friend request?”

Theresia just stared at him, completely speechless.

For days, he’d spammed her with friend requests from a dozen different accounts. She’d rejected every single one. And now he actually had the nerve to bring it up in person.

She lowered her voice. “I’m not your mother. I don’t have to put up with your nonsense. Lawrence, get it through your head. There is nothing between us anymore.”

Lawrence reached out, but before he could touch her, someone else grabbed his arm.

Patti’s voice was soft and sweet. “Lawrence, let’s go back. Don’t bother Theresia anymore.”

At that moment, Theresia climbed into the cab. Through the window, she caught Patti’s smug little smirk and couldn’t help but find it funny.

Back when she dated Jared, Patti made him her target. When she fell for Lawrence, Patti tried to seduce him again and again.

Now that she’d returned to Harrisburg, did Patti really think she was still hung up on Lawrence? Did she think they were still fighting over him?

“Patti,” Theresia thought, “is your world really that small?”

She looked away, a mocking smile tugging at her lips.

Lawrence just stood there on the sidewalk, watching as the cab carried Theresia farther and farther away until she disappeared from view.
