He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 130

Helena put her hands on her hips and couldn’t help but laugh. “Relax. Theresia isn’t about to make the same mistake twice. There’s no way that’s happening.”

Jared looked like he’d swallowed a lemon, but Theresia just stood there, trying not to laugh. Just as Jared opened his mouth to argue, he spotted Dave walking over, leading a horse.

“Dave’s here,” he said quickly to Theresia. “Don’t worry, I’ll totally vouch for you.”

He hurried off to meet Dave, leaving Helena rolling her eyes.

Theresia stayed calm. “Just ignore him.”

When they caught up, Jared was already trying to introduce himself, but Dave just looked confused. “Sorry, I still don’t remember who you are.”

Jared’s smile faltered. He glanced at Theresia and Helena, who were both barely holding back their laughter. “We met at a finance seminar about six months ago. But honestly, I don’t blame you for not remembering.”

Dave squinted for a second, then seemed to remember. “Oh, Jared. So, what brings you here today?”

Jared was ready to introduce Theresia, but she beat him to it. She stepped forward, hand outstretched. “Dave, I’m Teresa. Carlson mentioned me over the phone.”

Helena bounced in right behind her, cheerful as ever. “I’m Helena, Carlson’s daughter. I brought my friend today because we wanted to talk to you about a loan.”

Dave’s whole vibe softened when he saw Helena.

He looked back at Theresia. “Teresa, just leave your application papers with me and I’ll have someone take care of it. For now, I’m heading out for a ride. Need to keep these old bones moving.”

Theresia had everything organized, but Dave’s attitude wasn’t exactly reassuring. Maybe he was only meeting her because of Helena’s dad. The way he brushed her off made her uneasy. Even if her application went through, she didn’t have the luxury of waiting around forever.

Watching Dave lead his horse toward the track, Theresia didn’t hesitate. She caught up to him. “Dave, I’m actually pretty good at riding. Want to race?”

Without missing a beat, Theresia said calmly, “I brought my gear. Just haven’t changed yet. Give me a couple of minutes, Dave.”

Helena stared at her in surprise.

Theresia just shot her a reassuring look and headed for the changing room.

At that moment, from the other side of the club, a man had just walked in and was watching Theresia closely, his gaze following her every move.

Warren, standing behind him, spoke up. “Garry, that’s Theresia.”

Garry’s eyes stayed on Theresia until she disappeared into the changing room. “Find out who she’s here with.”

Warren nodded. “On it, Garry.”
