He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 182

Garry mentioned he’d donated two buildings to the Harrisburg Academy of Fine Arts, which was why Manley invited him to the school’s anniversary celebration.

Theresia couldn’t help noticing how often she’d been bumping into Garry lately. No matter where she went, it always seemed like he was there too.

They walked together toward the outdoor amphitheater where the event was being held. Their seats were right in the front row, side by side.

Theresia sat down, her mind spinning with thoughts. She remembered Hanson’s analysis from a few days ago and found herself sneaking a glance at Garry. She had to admit, he was exactly her type. There was something about his looks, but more than that, it was the way he handled things. He never came on too strong, always knowing just how far to go. For a woman, that kind of man was dangerously attractive.

Suddenly, Garry caught her looking. Theresia quickly looked away, pretending to watch something in the distance.

“Teresa, I heard you’re planning to sell thirty percent of your stake in Kingsport,” Garry said.

Theresia nodded, a little distracted. She grabbed a bottle of water from the table, twisted the cap off, and took a big drink. “Yeah… business hasn’t been great, so I need to free up some cash.”

Garry let it go, even though it was obvious he didn’t buy her excuse.

A bit later, Manley came over in person, inviting both of them to a dinner for all the guests after the celebration.

Theresia agreed, and so did Garry.

Before the festivities officially kicked off, Theresia slipped away to the restroom. As she left, someone’s cold, hateful stare followed her, clinging to her like a shadow. It felt like being watched by a twisted snake hiding in the dark.

The celebration began with confetti and balloons filling the air. The principal was the first to speak, talking about the school’s hundred-year history, listing its achievements, and then going on about the future. The speech was so dull, Theresia nearly fell asleep right there.

“That’s Teresa! My idol! I can’t believe I’m seeing her in person. I have to get a photo with her later.”

“Me too, I want a picture!”

“Count me in!”

On stage, Theresia stood out from everyone else. Even if she just stood there, she was mesmerizing.

She took the microphone and smiled. “Hello, everyone. I’m Teresa. I’m really honored to stand here and share my journey with you all. Today…”

Suddenly, a voice rang out from the crowd, cutting her off. “Theresia, you’re nothing but the bastard child of a mistress! You don’t deserve to be here! Get off the stage!”
