He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 208

Garry kept walking slowly. “Warren, when you get a chance, set up a meeting with Penn from the exchange.”

Warren stared at him in disbelief. “Garry, you’re not seriously planning to help Parrish’s company go public, are you? What are you thinking?”

Garry had his own reasons. If he couldn’t protect Teresa for the rest of her life, he needed to find someone who could. Only knowing she was safe and happy would let him breathe easy.

He didn’t bother to explain further, but his silence said enough. Warren could see there was no changing his mind.

Back when Garry stayed so long in Harrisburg, it was all for Teresa. He’d worked behind the scenes to help her reach her goals, clearing every obstacle out of her way. Once everything was settled, he disappeared, as if he’d never been there at all.

It had been about two weeks since Teresa’s number got blocked. It wasn’t even Warren’s idea. Garry just couldn’t bring himself to do it, so he’d asked Warren to handle it for him.

Parrish walked Teresa to her door but didn’t step inside. For him, it just wasn’t right to enter a woman’s room uninvited.

He asked, “Teresa, can I have your contact info?”

Teresa couldn’t think of a good reason to say no.

They exchanged numbers, and Parrish waved. “See you, Teresa.”

“Bye, Parrish.”

As soon as he left, Teresa closed the door. She was exhausted after such a long day. She took a hot shower, changed into fresh clothes, and curled up in bed. Before she knew it, she’d drifted off.

Her sleep was anything but peaceful. She dreamed of Garry, covered in blood, standing by her bed to say goodbye. She tried to grab his hand, stumbling out of bed, but he was gone. She woke up with a start, heart pounding. The clock said it was just after two in the morning. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t get back to sleep.

Now it was just Teresa and Parrish. She didn’t know him well, and walking alone beside him felt awkward for no real reason.

Parrish broke the silence first. “Let’s head upstairs, Teresa.”

She nodded. “Okay.”

As they walked up, Parrish kept a respectful, comfortable distance.

Once they reached the second floor, they walked side by side, chatting about funny little things. Suddenly, a group of people came toward them.

Parrish’s face lit up in recognition, but Teresa’s mood shifted completely. Her eyes landed on the man at the front, and she couldn’t look away.
