He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 209

She hadn’t seen Garry in over two weeks, but he still looked as handsome as ever. The black suit hugged his tall frame, but Teresa noticed he seemed thinner, his face paler than she remembered.

She kept watching him, but Garry’s cold, distant expression made her wonder if she was looking at the wrong person. It was like they’d never even met.

Teresa frowned without thinking. Before she could say anything, Parrish leaned in, his voice casual. “Teresa, I’m going to say hi to someone I know.”

Someone he knew? Parrish knew that guy?

Parrish walked over to Penn from the exchange, greeting him with practiced politeness. “Penn, what a surprise running into you here.”

Penn had blocked Parrish’s company from going public, but he still put on a friendly front. He smiled. “It really is a coincidence. Parrish, is this a date with your girlfriend?”

At that, Garry’s sharp gaze flicked straight to Teresa.

She didn’t look back, but she could feel his eyes on her, intense and unreadable.

What was his problem? Teresa couldn’t figure him out at all.

Parrish didn’t bother hiding his intentions. “I’m chasing after her, but we’re not together yet.”

Penn laughed. “A woman like her must have plenty of admirers. Parrish, you’ve got your work cut out for you.”

Parrish’s cheeks flushed and he quickly shifted topics. “Absolutely. By the way, if you’re free sometime, I’d love to treat you to dinner. Maybe we could talk, just the two of us.”

Ever since Penn had rejected his company’s listing application, returning all the paperwork, Parrish had been suspicious. He knew his company met all the requirements, so there had to be another reason. He’d tried over and over to set up a meeting with Penn, but Penn always found an excuse to dodge him. If it hadn’t been for tonight, he doubted he’d ever get the chance.

Even someone slow would have figured it out by now. Tonight was obviously a setup. Davina had arranged all this to push them together.

When Teresa didn’t say anything, Parrish took the menu back. “Alright, I’ll handle the ordering. Teresa, anything you can’t eat?”

She shook her head. “No, I’m not picky.”

So Parrish ordered all the restaurant’s specialties, one after another.

Meanwhile, in the next room, Garry sat at the head of the table, looking relaxed and elegant. There was something lazy about his posture, like he couldn’t care less about Penn, who sat nearby.

Penn might act important in front of Parrish, but when it came to Garry, he wouldn’t even dare try. He didn’t have the nerve to cross someone like Garry.
