He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 225

Those words hit Garry straight in the chest.

He had never struggled so much to answer a question.

A few seconds passed before Garry arched an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at his lips. “Teresa, what did I ever do to make you think that?”

The last few people in the room had already finished their IV drips and left. Now, it was just Teresa and Garry, facing each other, every small shift in their expressions impossible to miss.

After a quiet pause, Teresa let out a soft laugh. “Looks like I got it wrong. Makes sense, really. You blocked me, after all. Why would you like me?”

She leaned back, looking relaxed, but her eyes were cool and distant. “So, if that’s how it is, can you please stop doing things that make me misunderstand?”

Garry felt his nerves pulled so tight, even his breathing was strained.

He took a moment, drew in a steadying breath, and finally said, “I’m sorry.”

For some reason, Teresa felt a pang in her chest. A little sour, a little empty. But she managed to hold it together before the feeling could spread. She smiled, just a hint of amusement in her voice. “I accept your apology. So, Garry, please just leave. If we can, let’s never run into each other again.”

She’d been through heartbreak before, and honestly thought she’d never catch feelings again. But Garry had crashed into her life out of nowhere.

Whatever she felt for him, Teresa didn’t know if it was really a crush, but she knew it needed to stop. Before anything started, she had to shut it down.

The IV bag was empty. Teresa didn’t bother calling a nurse. She was used to this, pulling out the needle herself was nothing.

She moved with an easy confidence, removing the needle, then standing up.

Teresa was striking, confident, and graceful. She straightened out her dress, her long legs carrying her out of the room without a backward glance.

Garry’s eyes lingered on her for a moment before he stood and followed.

She could feel him behind her, but neither of them spoke as they walked.

Only then did Teresa realize why he’d been so insistent.

She didn’t argue, choosing to stay quiet and just do as he asked.

Garry found the best specialist he could, arranging a thorough check-up for Teresa.

The results showed nothing out of the ordinary, just a fever from catching a cold.

When they finished, the two of them walked out of the clinic. Teresa moved slowly, feeling weak from being sick. Every step felt heavy.

She just wanted to go back to her hotel, crawl into bed, and sleep until she felt normal again. Tomorrow, she hoped, everything would be fine.

But as she was about to step off the last stair, Garry blocked her way. “You’re staying at my place tonight. You’re sick, and you need someone to take care of you.”
