He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 62

The video left no room for doubt. Two faces appeared on-screen—one belonged to the girl in the wheelchair, the other, unmistakably, was Patti.

Patti went pale, her whole body shaking as she tried to hold herself together. “This is obviously AI. It’s fake,” she insisted, jaw clenched tight. “I’ve never even met her.”

Leila wasted no time backing her up. “Exactly, it’s a setup. This bitch is just trying to take Patti down.” She turned on Maisie, glaring. “Admit it. Why are you doing this? What are you after? Bitch, you better believe I’ll teach you a lesson right now.”

Leila’s hand shot up, ready to strike. Before she could get close, Theresia caught her wrist and shoved her arm aside.

Leila’s eyes narrowed, pure malice in her stare. “You again. I get it now. This was your plan all along.”

Theresia barely glanced at her. She addressed the crowd instead. “Anyone with half a clue can tell if that video’s real.”

Maisie stood steady, not the least bit rattled. She’d agreed to call Patti out in public and had come ready for whatever might happen. “Besides the video, I’ve got proof of every payment Patti’s sent me over the years. Each transfer came straight from her account.”

Theresia had already helped her get the bank statements. Maisie tossed the papers into the air. People scrambled to pick them up, and it only took a second’s glance for everyone to see the truth for themselves.

In the art world, Teresa was a legend. Moses, the master painter, had waited three years to take her on as his final student. He’d made it public across all his social media, even though he was usually private. Word was, his other students had traveled from all over just to celebrate her. Teresa had become the hottest, most mysterious name in the scene, and until today, nobody knew what she looked like. Was her identity finally about to be revealed?

The room went silent. You could have heard a pin drop. Theresia slowly lifted her veil, and the crowd gasped at the gorgeous face beneath.

Awestruck murmurs spread through the room. Unlike everyone else, though, Patti’s eyes went wide with shock, then narrowed with envy and hate.

She spat out Theresia’s name, each word trembling with disbelief. “It’s you. Theresia.”
