He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 64

Leila finally snapped out of it. She watched as Theresia turned to leave, then quickly caught up to her. “Theresia, I want you to apologize to Patti. Right now.”

Theresia’s back was slender but somehow gave off this untouchable, queen-like vibe. She glanced at Leila with a hint of disdain. “Leila, my name is Teresa now. And I have nothing to do with you.”

She walked away, leaving only a cold, distant figure behind.

Ten minutes later, The Muse’s Atelier was empty except for Patti and Leila.

Leila’s pride was in pieces. As a mother, she probably should have comforted Patti, but she just couldn’t let go of her own anger.

“I warned you about hiring a ghostwriter. You didn’t listen, and now look at you. Your reputation’s ruined. You’ll never get another chance. If I’d known it would end up like this, I would’ve treated Theresia better. At least she would’ve made me look good.”

Leila couldn’t understand how Patti hadn’t inherited any of her artistic talent. The more she thought about it, the more bitter she felt. She was about to say more, but Patti cut her off.

“If Theresia’s so amazing, why did you bother bringing me back?”

Without waiting for a response, Patti walked away, her face icy.

Leila stood there, stunned and speechless, then finally let out a long sigh.

Theresia drove Maisie straight to the airport, where her grandmother was already waiting. She was worried Patti might cause trouble, so she had made sure everything was set up in advance. Theresia had bought Maisie an apartment with an elevator in her hometown, put it in Maisie’s name, and even found her a job teaching art at the local elementary school.

Right before they parted, Maisie was overwhelmed with gratitude. “Teresa, thank you so much.”

Theresia hugged her tight. “Maisie, I should be the one thanking you. And take care of yourself and your grandma, okay? If you ever need anything, just call me.”

At that moment, Aaron’s phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and froze.

After a few seconds, he snapped out of it and rushed over to Lawrence, unable to hide his excitement. “Lawrence, we found Theresia.”

At the sound of her name, Lawrence’s eyes brightened instantly. He grabbed the phone from Aaron, staring at the familiar face on the screen. His heart pounded.

It was her. His wife.

Lawrence’s voice shook. “I want her exact location. Right now.”

Aaron nodded. “Yes, Lawrence.”
