He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 91

Theresia didn’t move. She just watched as Patti came barreling toward her, wild and desperate, only to get stopped cold by the sharp sound of Jared’s slap in front of everyone.

Patti completely lost it. She wanted to keep her cool, keep some dignity, but right then it was impossible.

She jabbed a finger at Theresia, her voice shaking. “Jared, you hit me because of her? I’m your wife.”

Jared’s face was tight with anger. “I’ve already filed for divorce, Patti. Face it. You’re not my wife anymore.”

Patti’s eyes were rimmed red and she glared at him. “It’s not final. Even if they grant the divorce, I can appeal. Jared, you think you can just toss me aside for this woman and live happily ever after? Keep dreaming.”

Theresia, meanwhile, looked like she was just there for the show. She picked at some fruit from a porcelain plate, her smile getting wider every time Patti’s voice cracked.

Honestly, there’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of seeing your enemy suffer.

Jared could barely stand to look at Patti. He wondered what on earth had possessed him to marry her. The regret stung every time he thought about it.

He raked his hand through his hair, clearly losing patience. “Patti, that’s enough. Do you even know how much you disgust me right now?”

Patti spun toward Theresia. “It’s you, isn’t it? You’re the one who seduced Jared. You’re shameless.”

Now all eyes were on Theresia.

She set down her plate, her blue dress perfectly showing off her figure. Every move she made seemed to catch someone’s attention. She faced the crowd, calm and collected.

“Patti, do you really think everyone here has forgotten? Jared was my fiancé before he was your husband. And my ex-husband? He was your lover. You were the one who broke up my marriage. Isn’t it a little ironic for you to accuse me of going after your husband?”

From the start, Theresia had been the victim. Being the one who was wronged meant people naturally sided with her, and no matter how hard Patti tried, she couldn’t change that.

Jared turned back to Theresia. “Theresia, would you ever consider—”

She cut him off immediately. “No.”

He tried again. “Don’t you still—”

“I don’t.”

“Is there any chance—”

“No chance. I don’t love you, I don’t want you, and I’m not interested. Got it? Now leave me alone.”

She was beyond frustrated. What on earth was Helena thinking, letting these two in here?
