Juniper had previously suspected someone had bribed Nadine to stage Brooks's accident, but no one in her family had believed her.

She looked up slowly to meet Lydia's gaze. Lydia raised a brow perfectly. "Nelson was the one who had your brother crippled. And I just had someone deliver that lovely little secret right to Brooks at the hospital. Oh, and I also made sure to inform him that you spent last night warming Nelson's bed."

Lydia casually flipped her hair over her shoulder, seamlessly slipping back into her flawlessly elegant persona. "As for how your brother is going to react to all of this... well, that's not my problem."

She turned, got back into her luxury car, and signaled the driver to pull away.

She wasn't stupid enough to cause a massive scene in a public space. There were plenty of pawns willing to do the dirty work for her.

She was going to slowly, agonizingly push Juniper to the brink of a total mental collapse, while making absolutely sure Nelson washed his hands of her forever.

If Juniper were simply killed off now, Nelson would never forget her.

Lydia leaned back against the plush leather seat and closed her eyes. Thank God she still had Josie. Nelson loved that girl unconditionally.

Within minutes, the overseas facility contacted Nelson, informing him that they were preparing to transfer Kieran back to Metropolis.
