He Gave Me Hearing, Then Taught Me What Silence Really Means novel Chapter 312

He buried his face in his hands, crying like a trapped animal.

Juniper sat a short distance away, quietly staring at the untouched beer in front of her as she listened to his muffled sobs.

What goes around comes around.

She still had questions for him.

After breaking down for a while, Forrest grew paranoid that the people around him were judging him, so he quickly got up and left.

He wandered back toward Aquarius Heights, only to realize he no longer lived there.

He viciously kicked a nearby tree, screaming like a lunatic to vent his rage, until a voice sounded behind him.

"Are you Forrest Vane?"

When Juniper had met Forrest the night before, she was wearing heavy makeup; tonight, her face was completely bare.

Forrest whipped around, his eyes filled with pure venom. "Who the hell are you?"

"It doesn't matter who I am. Your father got into an accident abroad. Before he left, he placed a fixed deposit with my agency, with instructions that it goes to you in the event of his death. Do you have your ID? If you have time, come with me to claim it."

Forrest stared at Juniper, then shoved his hands into his pockets. "Yeah, I've got my ID on me."

Juniper turned around, her tone flat. "Then let's go."

She had a bottle of pepper spray tucked securely in her bag.

When the moment was right...

But the moment the thought crossed her mind, a violent force struck her from behind. Forrest had grabbed a heavy rock from the side of the road.

"You bitch! I spend half my life in bars—did you really think I wouldn't recognize you just because you took your makeup off?! You ruined me! I'm going to kill you, and I don't care if I rot in prison for it. It's all your fault I have nothing left!"

Forrest was like a rabid dog. He had recognized Juniper instantly and couldn't believe this bitch was trying to run a second scam on him!
