"Not just the project. I'm talking about me, too. In the end, I belong to you, and no one can take that away."
Scarlett's face instantly flushed.
Watching her reddened cheeks looking even more radiant in the morning sun, Julian couldn't resist leaning in and capturing her lips.
Right at that moment, Juno and Stellan rounded the corner.
And walked straight into the scene.
Juno immediately slapped her hands over her eyes.
"Oh my god, what do we do? We really picked the wrong time to come up here."
Stellan, however, was completely unfazed.
"It just means you haven't seen enough of the world. Take me, for example. I'm completely used to this."
"Those two are practically conjoined twins; you can't separate them. This is perfectly normal."
Hearing their voices, Scarlett and Julian quickly pulled apart. Julian smiled calmly.
"Stellan, your awareness and perspective have really broadened. I think it's time you found yourself a girlfriend."
Stellan instinctively glanced at Juno.
"Yeah, I think so too."
Julian caught the look in his eyes and immediately exchanged a knowing glance with Scarlett. For a moment, they both just smiled silently.
After finishing their tour of the pagoda, the group quickly made their way down the mountain.
On the drive back to Bay City, Scarlett received a call from her brother, Zachary, asking them to come over to his place for breakfast.
From his tone, she could tell he already knew where they had been and what had happened. Breakfast was clearly just an excuse—he had something important to discuss with them.
