Wearing a crisp white button-down and black cropped trousers, Scarlett walked straight into the site.
Inside, Jacqueline had ordered several crates of iced sodas, handing them out to everyone who had just joined the battle.
When Scarlett walked in, the staff were raising their cans in a toast, laughing about how satisfying the fight had been.
"Mom! Are you okay? Why would they just show up here to cause trouble?"
Scarlett rushed through the crowd and grabbed Jacqueline's hands, her voice laced with concern.
Seeing her daughter, Jacqueline quickly pulled her into a makeshift office nearby.
Even though Melanie's words had infuriated her, they had won the battle decisively. It felt incredible.
Jacqueline was in high spirits, a huge smile on her face.
"They came all the way here looking for a beating, so I politely accommodated them. Don't worry, your mom is perfectly fine. With my combat skills, even if they brought ten more people, they wouldn't stand a chance!"
Seeing her mother completely unharmed, Scarlett let out a massive sigh of relief.
"Thank God. I saw the video they posted online and it scared me half to death. I thought they brought a gang to attack you."
Jacqueline scoffed.
"It was Yardley. He must be at the end of his rope. Lowered himself to play supervisor here, claiming he was helping me out. If he was willing to stoop this low now, where was this energy before? If he hadn't been so heartless in the past, I might have told you to give him another chance, for Dawn's sake."
Scarlett shook her head without hesitation.
"Mom, no. I've made up my mind. I have to leave."
