He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 259

"Apologize," the captain commanded, his voice stripped of all warmth.

Clarissa couldn't believe what was happening. She wrenched her head up, her face twisted in a mix of agony and fury. "What are you doing?! Are you insane?!"

"Do you forget who pays your salaries?! Open your damn eyes and look at who I am!"

"Ahhh!"

The captain didn't waste a single word, nor did his expression flicker.

The two guards tightened their grip without hesitation, jerking Clarissa's arms higher up her back. A sickening pop echoed in the room as her shoulder joints were forced to their absolute limit.

Clarissa had never experienced such violent treatment in her life. The blinding pain drained the color from her face, cold sweat pouring down her forehead. She was on the verge of passing out, yet she still managed to let out a piercing shriek.

Scarlett stood frozen for a few seconds. The sudden reversal was so jarring she couldn't process it.

Talia quickly leaned in and whispered the explanation in her ear. Understanding washed over Scarlett, and a cold, satisfied smile touched her lips.

She stepped forward, looking down at Clarissa. "Do you understand the situation now, Clarissa?"

Clarissa stared up at her, her eyes wide with shock and horror. "Scarlett... these are Flynn Group's guards! How... how did you do this? This is impossible!"

Before Scarlett could answer, a deep, commanding voice echoed from the doorway.

"Because they take their orders from me now."

Recognizing the voice, Scarlett spun around, her eyes lighting up.

Stellan stood in the doorway, impeccably dressed in a dark, tailored suit, his face an emotionless mask. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and stood with the unshakeable presence of a steel fortress. The overwhelming aura of power radiating from him instantly suffocated the remaining tension in the room.
