"Are you serious? Sylvia, if you're really willing to give yourself to me, two lives are nothing."
"You promise?" Sylvia asked, her voice tight. "The Croft family has immense power. And Scarlett has some major backing too. Do you really have the guts to take them on?"
"There isn't a thing in this world Kane Stetson can't handle. But they have to come to my territory first."
"That's easy," Kane continued, his tone chillingly casual. "Doesn't Scarlett have a best friend she’d die for? We kidnap the friend, drag her to Myanor, and Scarlett and Julian will follow like loyal little dogs."
"The second they cross the border, they're dead meat. Actually... I've been experimenting with a new game. I take a beautiful woman, chop off all four of her limbs, and turn her into a living, breathing doll for my VIPs to play with. Is Scarlett pretty? Because if she is, that's her fate."
Sylvia's scalp prickled with horror, but a second later, a twisted thrill washed over her. The thought of the high-and-mighty Scarlett reduced to a limbless toy sent a jolt of pure ecstasy through her veins. Her eyes lit up.
"Yes! Kane, do it! Make her beg for death!"
"And Julian..." she added, malice dripping from her tongue. "Sell him into the underground black market. He's got a genius-level IQ. Overseas syndicates would pay millions to lock him in a lab for research."
Sylvia was practically glowing as she imagined her enemies suffering such catastrophic fates. The more she pictured it, the more euphoric she felt.
Kane’s laugh was practically demonic. "I noticed you left out your ex-husband. Still got a soft spot for Yardley?"
"How about this," Kane mused. "If he ever steps foot on my turf, I'll squeeze every drop of value out of him, then harvest his organs and sell his brain to the highest bidder."
"Or... I could just beat him until he's brain-damaged. I'll put a collar on him and make him our personal slave. He can crawl on the floor like a dog. What do you think, baby?"
