Corinne trembled with rage, jabbing a finger in Jacqueline’s face as she shrieked. "That bitch Scarlett is dead! You’re nothing but a washed-up, lonely old woman now, so don't act like you have any power here. I’m telling you, Dawn is Flynn blood, and you aren't keeping her from us!"
Melanie stepped forward, her heels clicking aggressively on the floor. She glared at Jacqueline with venom in her eyes. "I suggest you wise up, Jacqueline. Hand over the kid right now. Otherwise, we won't play nice, and we'll make sure you can't even show your face at the Magnolia Villa anymore."
Sylvia stood off to the side. She didn't say a word, but a smug smirk played on her lips, as if Dawn was already in their clutches.
Even though Jacqueline had mentally prepared herself for a confrontation, seeing these three repulsive women standing in her home still made her stomach churn.
Before she could even open her mouth, Yardley abruptly spun around. He stared coldly at his mother and her entourage. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Seeing her son drenched from head to toe, Corinne gasped in dismay. She immediately stepped forward to dry him off, but Yardley shoved her hands away.
"Are you out of your mind, Yardley? Why are you protecting this crazy old bat?!" Corinne shrieked. "She threw freezing water on you and is keeping your daughter hostage! Why are you defending her?!"
