He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 981

After leaving Flynn Group, Scarlett and Julian headed straight to the newly constructed Zenith Tower nearby.

Following Scarlett's international award win, her reputation in the industry had skyrocketed. Croft Design Studio capitalized on the momentum. Combined with the stellar reputation she had built over the years and the massive capital injection from Julian and her brother, Croft Group had rapidly risen to prominence. Its sheer scale was expanding at an exponential rate.

Their original studio space was no longer sufficient for their operational needs.

Now, Zenith Tower—the very building Scarlett had designed from the ground up—was nearing its final stages. Not only was it her brainchild, but she and Julian had also overseen its actual construction through third-party contractors.

The main structure was officially complete. As the majority shareholders of the project, Croft Group was preparing to relocate its entire headquarters here. Today was their official site inspection.

Arriving at the construction zone, Scarlett and Julian strapped on hard hats and took the industrial elevator straight to the top floor.

The penthouse level had already been cleared of debris, boasting massive, floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. Scarlett stood before the glass, her gaze drifting toward the Flynn Group building in the distance. The skyscraper that had once seemed so imposing and grand to her now looked like nothing more than an unremarkable speck in Bay City's sprawling skyline.

Her creation, Zenith Tower, was the city's newest landmark. It was the starting line for the empire she and Julian were building together.

"If he knew, the blow to his ego would be catastrophic," Julian agreed. "Honestly, the gap between Flynn Group and Croft Group is already widening by the day."

"Yeah. When this building officially opens and the truth comes out, the power dynamic that has controlled Bay City for the last two decades will completely flip."

"The halo Flynn Group wore as the city's top real estate titan will vanish," Julian said, his eyes gleaming with quiet confidence. "For the next twenty years—maybe even longer—Bay City belongs to us."

Scarlett looked up at him, her smile radiant. "Their decline is irreversible at this point. If Yardley actually listened to reason, cleaned house, and made drastic reforms, maybe they'd have a chance."
