Ottilie didn't say a single word.
Yorath subtly signaled his security detail.
The bodyguards forcefully, yet professionally, moved Nyssa out of the way and shoved the door wide open.
The hallway was packed with industry titans, investors, and elite executives. They all instantly bore witness to Hayden and the executive in their completely exposed, compromising state.
The scene erupted into absolute pandemonium.
News of the scandal spread like a wildfire, completely dominating the top trending searches within minutes.
Hayden was instantly and permanently blacklisted from the entertainment industry.
The powerful executive was immediately suspended from all corporate duties pending investigation.
Lachlan was practically vibrating with rage. When he left the hotel, his car peeled out of the driveway, tires screaming against the asphalt.
"That bastard! I'll kill him!"
Yorath had just single-handedly obliterated his agency's most profitable asset.
Because the press had been running a live feed, millions had witnessed the video of the two men tangled together in bed.
It was a PR nightmare so catastrophic that damage control was entirely impossible.
Hayden sat in the backseat of the speeding car, his face ashen, staring blankly ahead in absolute silence.
Lachlan slammed his hands against the steering wheel. "Why the hell did you go after Ottilie? Did you really think you were untouchable? I warned you to stay far away from Yorath!"
"My contract was expiring soon anyway," Hayden finally muttered, his voice hollow. "Our partnership ends tonight. I'll pay whatever penalty fees I owe."
He ordered the driver to pull over and walked off into the night.
Lachlan sat in the car, fielding one frantic, disastrous phone call after another.
The only person actively celebrating the catastrophe was Heath Schmidt. "With Aegis Media losing their biggest star, my dear brother is completely screwed. Mark my words, gentleman, the second the market opens tomorrow, I'm dumping all my shares. If you hold onto them, you'll go bankrupt before lunch."
Huxley Tarrant shook his head in awe. "Yorath is an absolute savage. After a blow like this, Lachlan might actually lose his spot as the Schmidt family heir."
Manufacturing a star was incredibly difficult. A mega-celebrity like Hayden brought in hundreds of millions in revenue every single year.
That bastard Lachlan had the audacity to try and poach Ottilie from Yorath. Now he was paying the ultimate price.
Nyssa fell completely silent.
She wasn't an idiot. She knew exactly what had happened tonight: Yorath had orchestrated the entire destruction of an A-list celebrity solely to exact revenge for Ottilie.
Glancing at the clock, she noted it was already well past midnight.
"Yorath, I think I'll just stay the night here," she offered softly. "It's much closer to my film set. If I drive all the way home now, I'll barely get a few hours of sleep before I have to turn right back around."
Ottilie stood up abruptly. "It's late. I'm heading home."
"Where exactly are you going?" Yorath asked.
"My apartment," she replied, already walking toward the door.
"You aren't going anywhere," Yorath commanded sharply. Then, turning to Jevon, he ordered, "Escort Nyssa back to her residence."
Checking his watch and feigning a massive yawn, Jevon replied, "Actually, I anticipated Nyssa would need to head back tonight. I already had Kendrick Walden pull the car around. He's waiting outside for her right now."
