He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 221

Yorath stood up. "I'll walk you out."

Nyssa stood up and smiled at Yorath.

"Yorath, I heard the movie you're backing still needs a female lead. You should consider me. There have always been rumors that Ms. Sewell and I don't get along. If we work together, it'll naturally break the rumors."

Yorath replied, "Last time you two worked together, things went south. I don't trust handing her over to anyone else; I'll keep an eye on things myself. It's getting late. Get some rest."

Nyssa nodded and followed Jevon out.

At the door, she brushed past Ottilie.

"Goodnight, Ms. Sewell."

Ottilie didn't even spare her a glance and turned to Yvonne. "Where am I staying?"

Yorath answered, "The master bedroom."

"I'll take my old room." Ottilie turned and walked toward the furthest room on the first floor.

After a few steps, she looked back. "Goodnight, Yorath."

He didn't speak, nor did he look at her.

Nyssa left the Meridian Villa, her expression dark the entire way.

"He is actually going to marry her!"

Kendrick Walden noted, "They aren't married yet, are they? We still have a chance."

Nyssa rubbed her throbbing temples, entirely irritable.

"Today was clearly a trap. Yorath and the others planned this for a long time, and I didn't get any wind of it. It's obvious Jevon and Elian were guarding against me."

Kendrick replied, "You need to put more effort into those two. Don't be fooled by Ottilie's quiet demeanor; she knows exactly how to manipulate people."

"Haven't I sucked up enough? I've bent over backward trying to please everyone in his inner circle."

At that moment, Nyssa's phone rang.

She glanced at it. An unknown sender had texted her.

Opening it, she froze.

A few seconds later, she burst into loud laughter.

"Once a decision is made, it gets executed." He stood up, plucked the pillow from her hands, and tossed it onto the bed.

"From now on, we share a bed."

"No way." Before she could say another word, he pressed a finger against her lips.

"Tilly, don't make me angry." He wrapped an arm around her slender waist and pulled her onto the bed.

His body was freezing, as if he'd just taken an ice-cold shower.

Pressing against her, it made her shiver.

"Yorath, why are you so cold?"

"It feels better holding you when I'm cold."

He held her tightly all night. She barely managed to slip away and make a run for it in the dead of night.

Rather than waiting for him to force her into marriage, she'd strike first. She would marry someone else.

He couldn't force her into bigamy!
