"Weren't you heading out to meet Mr. Walden? Why are you still here?"
Ottilie replied, "Winnie Walden's family is sick. It was her first offense, so please cut her some slack."
Having come from poverty herself, she understood how hard life was for those at the bottom.
Yorath leaned back lazily in his chair, fingers interlaced over his stomach, watching her with a meaningful look.
"My wife doesn't care whether I live or die, yet she shows so much concern for irrelevant people. I'm getting jealous."
Seeing that a few words wouldn't settle it, Ottilie pulled the door shut and walked up to him. "Are you not going to agree?"
"You're begging me," he pointed out.
"Yes. I'm begging you."
Yorath smiled. "Then you need to show a little sincerity."
Ottilie leaned in, her lips slowly approaching, and pressed a kiss against his ear.
Her warm breath brushed over his skin like a feather.
A tingling sensation washed over him.
Unable to hold back, Yorath pulled her firmly into his arms and kissed her hard.
"No, we just did last night... I'm still sore."
It hurt just to walk right now.
If they did it again... she really wouldn't be able to get out of bed.
Yorath only let her go when her lips were swollen from his kiss, still looking like he hadn't had enough.
He was quite satisfied with her proactive compensation, though still envious that a mere servant could warrant her attention.
He kept a firm grip on her slender waist. "This tiny bit of sweetness isn't enough to bribe me. I need to see more..."
As he reached to unbutton her collar, the door was suddenly pushed open.
Jevon stood in the doorway. "Yorath, the video was sent..."
Yorath instantly pulled Ottilie tight against his chest and glared at the intruder. "Get out."
Jevon saw Ottilie sitting on Yorath's lap with her back to him.
Her top had slipped down to her elbows, exposing half of her gorgeous, flawless back.
Such an intensely intimate scene unfolding right before his eyes.
He let out a chuckle. "My apologies. Please, continue."
Jevon pulled the door shut.
As Ottilie finished fixing her clothes and turned to leave, her phone rang.
It was Yves. She suddenly realized she had delayed for far too long.
She hurriedly answered, "Mr. Walden."
"Why aren't you here yet? Are you stuck in traffic?"
Glancing at the time, Ottilie saw she was already forty minutes late. Driving there would take another half hour.
If there was traffic, it could take even longer.
The thought of keeping him waiting on an empty stomach made her feel incredibly guilty.
"I'm so sorry, something held me up at home. It's going to take me a while to get there. Please go ahead and eat without me."
"I have plenty of time, and I'm not hungry," Yves said kindly. "I'll wait for you no matter how long it takes."
"I'll be right there! If you get hungry, have the restaurant bring out some appetizers."
Hanging up, she sprinted out of the room.
Leaving Yorath standing alone in the study, his face as cold as frost.
He waited until her footsteps faded away, then viciously kicked the rosewood desk.
