He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 327

Ottilie figured the dinner was probably about to start.

"Of course," Tanya replied smoothly. "Right this way, please."

When they reached the dining area, the entire family had already gathered.

Marcella was just asking, "Hasn't Ottilie come down yet? We're about to serve the food."

"She was just discharged from the hospital," Yorath explained. "She's still recovering and needed some sleep. We can start once she wakes up."

"Ms. Sewell is here," Tanya announced.

Yorath stood up and saw her wearing his oversized shirt.

But she was so effortlessly beautiful that even a baggy men's shirt gave her a stunning, unique charm.

She looked better in it than in any high-end couture.

He walked right up to her. "You're awake."

"Yeah. I got lost, but Tanya showed me the way..."

Before Ottilie could finish her sentence, Tanya quickly interrupted. "Now that she's here, let's serve the food."

Yorath threw Tanya a sharp glance before reaching out to grab Ottilie's hand. "You must be hungry. Let's eat."

The group moved into the dining room.

Wealthy families had strict rules; the younger generation couldn't pick up their silverware until the elders did.

The dishes were served, but the patriarch, Lorenzo, didn't touch his silverware.

Everyone sat rigidly in their seats.

The room was dead silent, and Ottilie could smell the distinct, dangerous scent of an impending storm.

Yorath, on the other hand, was completely relaxed, gently playing with her fingers and occasionally looking up to offer her a warm smile.

She could feel everyone's eyes locked onto her.

But she remained entirely unfazed, letting them stare with effortless poise.

As an actress, being watched was the last thing she feared.
