He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 341

Back in the room, Leonard Schmidt was still awake.

"Honey, why aren't you asleep yet?"

Leonard pulled Eleanor onto the bed. "You said I didn't have the stamina? I'll show you just how much stamina I have."

Men were all the same, refusing to admit their age even at eighty.

Still demanding action at night.

With a roll, he pinned Eleanor beneath him.

Eleanor let out a playful gasp, wrapping her arms and legs around him.

"Honey, you've always been the most robust man in the world."

The night was pitch black and windy.

Suddenly, a sharp scream pierced the silence of the Schmidt estate.

At the Meridian Villa.

Ottilie Sewell woke up from her nap and ran into Yorath Fordham in the living room just as he returned from the hospital.

Jevon Crawford trailed behind him. The two were talking as they walked. "Old man Schmidt partied too hard last night. He popped some pills to please Eleanor, overdosed, and had a massive stroke. They managed to save him, but he's completely paralyzed now. Can't speak, can't write."

Yorath replied, "Heath Schmidt made his move. We were just worrying about not having any evidence of his crimes. Now we just wait for Lachlan Schmidt to come begging for our help."

As he spoke, he met Ottilie's gaze.

She offered a small smile. "Did I just hear something I wasn't supposed to?"

"You can hear anything and everything about my business," Yorath said.

Jevon chimed in, "Even if you didn't hear it, you'd probably just hack into our computers anyway."

Ottilie didn't feel guilty in the slightest. She just smiled. "Have you guys eaten breakfast?"

"No," Jevon answered. Acting as if he were in his own home, he strolled into the dining room and started bossing Yvonne Quinn around.

"Yvonne, I want..."

Standing in the living room, Ottilie looked at Yorath. "Is Marcella feeling better?"

"Much better. Thank you for talking to her yesterday. Otherwise, my brother and I would have been really worried."
