He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 343

Ottilie scanned the document. It was true—Yvonne and Tanya were not biologically related.

They had both suspected as much, but seeing the undeniable truth in black and white was completely different from a hunch.

They sat in silence on an empty hospital bench.

Neither spoke.

Yvonne probably needed time to process the bombshell.

And Ottilie simply didn't know how to comfort her.

The quiet was broken by Ottilie's phone ringing.

It was Yorath. "Where are you?"

"At the hospital."

"Don't leave the building. Don't move. Don't let anyone see you. Something happened. I'm coming to get you right now; I'll call when I'm outside."

She hung up just as Yvonne's phone buzzed.

Yvonne glanced at the screen, pocketed her phone, and quickly dragged her toward an empty stairwell.

"You're trending online. I don't know who leaked your location, but there are thousands of people swarming the hospital entrance looking for you."

"Looking for me? Why?"

She hadn't exactly provoked anyone in the entertainment industry lately.

"Nyssa Tarrant is claiming you bullied her, stole her roles, froze her out of the industry, and acted like a complete diva."

Ottilie pulled out her phone and checked the trending topics.

Clicking the top headline revealed a picture: she was sitting comfortably in a car while Nyssa stood outside.

It was taken on a scorching day, and Nyssa looked drenched in sweat, bowing apologetically.

From the inside of the vehicle, Ottilie looked arrogant and domineering.

Based on that single out-of-context photo, the post had amassed tens of thousands of comments cursing Ottilie and her entire family.

She figured they could curse her family all they wanted, as long as they left her out of it.
