Chapter 141
Chapter 141
Four groups, four directions, everyone moved at once.
Lydia gripped Shadowcleaver tightly, sticking right behind Pierre as she pushed through doors one after another. Her steps never faltered for even a moment.
Sergei followed Sunhwa. His stamina wasn’t great, but he kept his pace steady, moving from one room to the next without a break.
Ivana kept Lina close, shielding her as they ran at full speed.
Lil Lily charged forward with Jane, her little legs pumping ridiculously fast.
All four groups were closing in on the same spot.
Lyra had no idea they were on their way. She pushed open a door and froze.
The whole room was a giant bouncy castle.
The floor had thick padding, with inflatable walls dividing it into zones: ball pit left, sandpit right, trampoline up front. blocks in back, and an inflatable slide under colorful netting in the center.
Lyra stood in the doorway, her eyes scanning the room. ‘My instincts are screaming there’s a treasure chest in here!’ she thought.
She glanced at the countdown on the wall.
[Hiding countdown: 09:46]
Lyra stepped onto the bouncy castle and scampered up the slide in a few quick steps. When she sat down at the top, she glanced down, dang, that was pretty high.
She braced her hands behind her, gave her butt a little push, and shouted, “Wheee!”
Her voice stretched out as she zipped down the slide and landed right in the ball pit.
Colorful plastic balls exploded everywhere. Lyra was buried so deep only half her head poked out, a huge grin on her face. She rolled onto her back, waving her arms and legs around in the sea of balls.
Suddenly, her fingers brushed against something hard. Lyra fished it out, it was a palm-sized treasure chest. She stood up, balls tumbling off her, and popped the lid open. Inside was a prop.
A note inside read: [Congratulations! You’ve found a valid treasure chest. Please collect your reward.)
[Silent Card: Eliminates all sounds made by the user for ten minutes. Usage: 3 times.]
Lyra flipped the card in her hand. ‘No sound for ten minutes? If the hunter relies on hearing, this could be a lifesaver, she thought.
She tucked the card away and started rummaging through the ball pit again, left hand scooping, right hand grabbing, her legs paddling wildly beneath the sea of balls.
Draconia Live Channel.
momo: [Wait, what?! She just stumbled into it and scored big!]

“Alright, everyone, let’s stop searching for now,” Lyra said, glancing around to make sure the whole crew was here
She turned her gaze to the countdown on the wall.
[Hiding countdown: 05:33]
Five and a half minutes left until the Hunter makes their entrance.
Lyra pulled the Soul Deck out of her pocket, fanning out all ten cards in her hand.
“There are still six souls out there. Let me bring them back first,” she said.
With that, Lyra pulled out the six missing soul cards. “Soul Deck, seal.”
The cards flashed with light, and shadows appeared behind each of the six cats. One by one, the souls outside slipped back/ into the cards.
“Listen up, everyone. We’ve got five minutes before the Hunter shows up,” Lyra said, her eyes sweeping over each of them
“In this mission, the rooms will shuffle every ten minutes. When that happens, the game will split us up and send us to random spots,” she added.
Lina frowned, and Lydia tightened her grip on Shadowcleaver.
