Chapter 101 Her or Anya
No more slaps, yet her face had never hurt like this.
But she had already brought up divorce.

Thinking of this, Liana gradually regained her composure, replying coldly, “Yeah, he set up a home for you at Westhaven Estates. But he refuses to divorce me. He said the heir to the Locke family can only come from me.”
Anya’s face instantly drained of color.
Yes, she didn’t believe it, and it was humiliating.
“That day at the café, you prepared abortion pills. And the bowl the housekeeper was carrying at the Forrest Villa that night-bet that was for me too, right? And tonight? Got anything else prepped?”
Seeing Anya’s expression twist, Liana only got calmer.
“Liana, the Locke elders liking you is their business. You might be able to tie him down for a few years by leveraging their favor, but not for a lifetime. Just wait and see if you don’t believe me.”
Anya forced a weak smile and turned to leave.
But she quickly turned back. “Maybe Elian and I will have our own child soon. Let’s see if he’ll still hesitate to divorce you because of the elders and the Locke Group’s stock.”
Liana didn’t respond.
She knew she couldn’t win.
Elian stood not far away, a cigarette between his fingers, taking slow, absent-minded drags. His eyes lifted immediately when Anya emerged.
Anya gasped in shock but quickly composed herself, walking towards him. “Elian, how did find this place? I should have brought Theo along for the fun. He loves cake.”
“Hmm.”
Elian gave a dismissive grunt, his deep gaze fixed intently on the interior.
Liana soon came out.

Anya held Elian’s wrist and even took the cigarette from between his lips for a puff herself. They looked intimate, comfortable-a familiar routine.
Liana felt a bitter laugh rise inside. What kind of fool was I, falling for someone like him?
Suddenly, everything seemed simple.
Anya took a drag and cooed, “So harsh. I don’t know how you men like these things.”
She tried to place the cigarette back between Elian’s lips.
He gave a faint smile but turned his face away, his eyes on Liana’s retreating figure as he grabbed Anya’s wrist to stop her.
Anya held the cigarette, watching his gaze follow Liana, seeing how he kept her at a distance, even with a hint of distaste.
Elian soon looked back, though not at her. He took the cigarette from her hand. “I’m done. Let’s go.”
He stubbed it out on the lid of a trash can and tossed it in.
He had a bad habit-usually, he’d pinch it out with his fingers. This time, he just crushed it against the metal.
Remembering what Liana had just said to her, Anya felt a wave of intense humiliation wash over her, despite still wearing Elian’s suit jacket.
Back in the living room, Liana was immediately blocked by Cecilia and a few other girls. They all looked at her with the contemptuous stare reserved for an outsider.
“Move.”
“Anya isn’t back yet. What’s your hurry?”
Not far away in the main living area, Lawrence was chatting with a few friends.
They had obviously planned this-to prevent her from seeing Lawrence alone while Anya was absent.
“Exactly. Wearing a big gemstone around your neck doesn’t make you royalty. Anya is the Forrest family’s treasured daughter. You should know your place and get out,” another girl added with disgust.
“Get out of my way. I won’t say it a third time.”

Liana’s voice was icy.
“You ill-bred-Ah!”
Smack!
Before Cecilia could finish her insult, a sharp slap landed on her cheek.
Liana’s hand, adorned with her wedding ring, had struck her face with force.
The other girls were stunned by the slap, their eyes now holding a flicker of fear.
“You dare hit me? Do you know who my father is? You-”
“Who is your father?”
Cecilia, flushed with shame from the blow, immediately tried to retaliate.
