Chapter 115 You Ever Really Loved Me?
Men who flirt too much are jerks, but damn if they aren’t hard to resist.
And…
In the elevator, his belt buckle had been pressing against her the whole time.
Last night, after her shower, she’d noticed her lower abdomen felt a little different.
It used to have a slight inward curve, but now it was just flat.

They say the belly grows fast after four months, but they still hadn’t finalized the divorce.
She couldn’t help getting nervous. So nervous that when she crashed into his arms later, she froze for a few seconds before she came back to herself.
She did the math in her head. She had to wrap up the marriage soon. If he kept dropping by every other day, even if they didn’t do anything, his hands were way too sharp not to notice the change.
She’d been eating more lately, but the weight wasn’t going anywhere else.
What would she say when he inevitably asked why only her stomach was getting bigger?
Lost in thought, she suddenly realized they had already reached the hospital’s main entrance.
Elian stood facing her, his deep eyes narrowed intently.
She paused, her mind scrambling for something to say, but he spoke first.
“I’ll drive you to school.”
His tone left no room for argument.
He’d noticed. She’d been completely spaced out.
In this state, letting her drive herself was out of the question.
“I was just thinking about studying abroad after the divorce,” she blurted out, a spark of inspiration hitting her. “If you’re not busy, maybe we could go file the papers after my class?”
He already knew about her plans to study overseas. Might as well use it as leverage to push the divorce along.
Elian’s gaze remained sharp, unyielding. Hearing her mention leaving and divorcing se

casually made him stare at her with even more intensity.
She’s in such a hurry to end this. Probably just wants to get away.
A sudden, hollow feeling opened up inside him.

Yes, he’d messed up. But this marriage, the person he’d built a home with-she had always held a significant place in his heart.
But what place did he hold in hers?
He took an involuntary step closer. “Liana,” he asked, his voice low, “did you ever really love me?”
Liana was stunned.
Weren’t we just talking about divorce? How did we jump to “love”?
She hated this topic. Under his penetrating stare, a shiver ran down her spine.
She lowered her head, trying to deflect. “I was with someone else before you.”
“I asked if you ever really loved me.”

forward.
Liana retreated, at a loss for words.
They weren’t naive teenagers. Why was he fixating on this one word?
“I did. But in the future-”
“Does love just vanish that quickly? Divorce, move abroad, start a brand-new life, enter a new marriage… and I just become a distant memory? A passing cloud?”
Elian cut her off.
She had been about to ask him to stop questioning her feelings. She hadn’t expected him to take the conversation so far.
He sounded bitter.
But when a relationship was over, she preferred a clean break.
“Not just you. I’ll just be a brief chapter in your life too. Our marriage only lasted a little over two years.”

Elian let out a short, humorless laugh, then nodded once, his voice turning icy. “Crystal clear. I’ll drive you to your class. We’ll go file for divorce right after you’re done.”
“Really?”
After so many failed attempts, she almost didn’t dare believe it.
Elian smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes. He didn’t look at her again, simply opened the car door for her.
Well, an opportunity is better than none. Liana slid inside.
BANG!
A deafening slam followed. She turned her head.
Elian had gotten in and shut his door with enough force to shake the vehicle.
He didn’t sit next to her, staying close to his own window instead.
Liana knew picking a fight now would ruin her chance. She stayed silent.
When they reached the school gates, Lucas rolled down his window and said a few words to the security guard. The barrier arm lifted immediately.
“You can just drop me here,” Liana said, puzzled but choosing her words carefully.
“I’ll wait for you outside your classroom building.”
