Chapter 122 His Wife Thought He Was Filthy
Liana didn’t have much flesh under her arms to begin with. When his arm pressed there, holding her in place, it felt like he was grinding bone against bone.

His words weren’t even finished before she had left her seat-though “left” wasn’t quite right. She had merely switched to a seat of flesh.
The moment she sat on him, her whole body went stiff and numb, her face flushing red, then pale.
Just hours ago, Anya had been curled in his arms here. Liana could even smell it-the car was saturated with the scent of Anya’s signature perfume.
She freaked out. Every hair on her body stood on end. She struggled wildly, nausea rising.
“Stop it, Liana…”
Elian held her firmly, his strong arm pinning her. He cupped her chin with one hand, trying to calm her.
And for a few seconds, Liana actually stilled.
She stared at him in disbelief. Seeing his own expression was grim and severe, she instantly flung her arms out toward the window, desperate to escape this nauseating place and this nauseating man.
“Elian, let me go!”
Coming back to her senses, she started struggling and shouting again.
“Stop squirming.”
Without a hint of gentleness, he pushed her back into the seat, his voice a stern command.
She could feel the powerful thump of his heartbeat, right against her own chest, pounding violently,
But the smell in the car was unbearable. Her mind flooded with images of him and Anya. And then, as if to make it all worse, his body chose that exact moment to react.
Yes, she had shifted in his lap and felt the change. She had stayed still for those few seconds, but when he didn’t back down, she couldn’t hold on any longer. She had to get away.
Now, pinned beneath him again, she tried to fight it, but soon…

After all, every time she witnessed him being intimate with Anya, the little one inside her was watching too.
“Pull over.”
Seeing her reaction, Elian instinctively shifted his body away from her and barked the order at the driver.
The car came to an almost immediate stop at the roadside.
Liana stumbled out, hunched over, one hand pressed to her chest, as she vomited onto the ground.
Elian followed, standing nearby and watching coldly.
The suburban road was deserted. He casually pulled a pack of tissues from his pocket, extracted one, and held it out to her.
When her retching subsided, Liana saw the white tissue fluttering before her eyes and reached for it with effort.
But the moment she finished wiping her mouth, another wave of nausea hit, and she was sick again.
Soon, Lucas also emerged from the car with a bottle of water, but he handed it to Elian before taking a few respectful steps back.
It wasn’t that Lucas found the scene distasteful; he just sensed his boss wanted to be the one to attend to his wife.
Elian twisted the cap off the plastic bottle, crouched beside her, and offered her the water.
Liana was spitting up bile now; even taking the water made her
gag.
A humorless smile touched Elian’s lips. He dropped the whole pack of tissues, stood up, consciously retreated a few steps.
and
Right. His wife thought he was filthy.
His wife didn’t want him.

He would marry another woman immediately. Let her see that what she found repulsive, other women would gladly accept.
His icy gaze fixed on her back.
Sure enough, the moment he stepped away, Liana’s retching stopped.
She rose slowly, unsteady on her feet, feeling dizzy and lightheaded, about to topple over.
Her arm was immediately seized in a firm grip. She turned her head reflexively, but the sight of Elian churned her stomach again.
“Ugh.”
Liana vomited once more, and Elian’s face finally darkened completely.
Lucas kept his expression carefully neutral, but after seeing Liana’s reaction and then his boss’ face, he subtly retreated another two steps.
Yeah, when these two draw their swords, better not get splattered with blood.
The drive back was wrapped in total silence.
No one mentioned divorce again.
But the car drove straight to the Locke Group headquarters.
Liana drifted into a hazy sleep. When she opened her eyes, she saw the towering office building
outside.
It took her a moment to look all the way to the top. Then, numbly, she asked, “Are we still talking about the divorce?”
