Chapter 153 You’re Leaving?
Elian really knew what Theo liked to eat. He called right away and ordered a meal for three.

Liana and Theo turned on the wall-mounted TV and found a cartoon. Just as they were about to watch, Liana felt her chin gently tilted up.
“Hold still,” Elian said, squeezing a dollop of the anti-inflammatory cream onto his finger and applying it to her cheek with a soft, circular motion.
“I can do it myself,” Liana protested, reaching up.
He captured her wrist, continuing to apply the cream. “Is your husband just for show?”
“My study abroad application was approved.”
“You’re leaving?”
His hand stilled for a fraction of a second before resuming its gentle motion.
“Yes. So… can we go get the divorce finalized quickly?”
Liana hoped he’d be reasonable and expedite the process.
“It’s just studying abroad. You’ll be back. There’s no rush Elian replied, his tone flat.
A pang of sadness hit Liana. Or maybe I really won’t come back. At least not for several years.
“Now that everyone in the city knows we’re married, if we don’t divorce and you’re seen with Anya or any other woman, people will call it cheating. Word will get out, and it’ll be bad for Locke Group, right?” Liana pressed on, trying a different tactic.
Elian let out a slow breath, focusing entirely on applying the cream. He didn’t respond.
Seeing his expression grow more serious, Liana pressed her point firmly. “Elian, can we please just get a divorce?”
“I’m not in a hurry. Why are you? Planning to go marry some foreigner?” He paused, his gaze sharpening. “Just a word of advice, as your husband for over two years-you wouldn’t be able to handle it.”
Liana was momentarily confused. Handle what?
“Their size,” Elian finished bluntly.
Liana’s face flushed a deep crimson.
Theo, sensing a shift, glanced their way. Elian turned and gave the boy a reassuring smile, and Theo went back to his cartoon.
“Don’t talk nonsense in front of a child,” Liana hissed, mortified.
“He’s too young to understand,” Elian stated matter-of-factly.
Having finished applying the cream, he straightened up but didn’t move away from where he stood in front
of her.

It was only then that Liana belatedly realized his legs were positioned between hers.

The moment she noticed their intimate posture, she became acutely aware of his body heat radiating against her, spreading from that point of contact and making her skin feel increasingly hot.
“Move back a little,” she whispered, unable to meet his eyes.
Elian looked down at her coldly. He couldn’t move back an inch. His legs seemed locked in place.
He’d never noticed he needed a woman’s attention this badly.
But ever since she tried to cut him loose, he couldn’t eat couldn’t sleep. One thought burned in him-make her put every bit of focus on him.
If he could, he wanted her swooning over him, caring for him-touching his fingers, kissing his mouth, his Adam’s apple-pressing down on him so he could hold her, so he could…
He felt like he was on the verge of breaking. He didn’t know how much longer he could hold back.
Soon, the hotel delivered dinner. The three of them ate each with their own plate. Theo looked up at them and couldn’t help giggling.
Theo laughed a lot that evening and even managed to sit up and feed himself with a spoon.
After dinner, a nurse came to take Theo’s temperature. After that, no one else entered the room.
Tonight, there were three people and only two beds in the room.
Elian thought there was one bed too many.
He connected his own phone to the camera feed. Lying on the smaller inner cot, watching Liana and Theo on the main hospital bed, he found sleep impossible. He sat up abruptly.
Liana was in a hazy half-sleep when she felt a firm hand slide beneath her waist. Her eyes fluttered open, and she immediately pressed her hands against his chest. “What are you doing?”
“Shh. Don’t wake Theo,” Elian murmured, lifting her easily and carrying her to the inner cot.
As soon as he set her down, Liana scrambled back. “What do you want?”
“Isn’t it obvious? To sleep,” he replied, standing by the bed and starting to unbutton his shirt.
The room was dark, lit only by the faint glow from the Hallway.
But Liana could see him clearly enough. “Elian, don’t you dare. You’ll wake Theo,” she whispered urgently.
“Then don’t make a sound,” he said, his voice low.
