His Hidden Family My Ruined Marriage (Liana) novel Chapter 176

Chapter 176 Revisit Our First Time

Intimacy with her had always been something that happened in a flash. Sometimes a single look was enough. Sometimes just the accidental brush of his skin against hers.

But now…

“Get up. Now.”

Understanding dawned, Liana began to push at him.

“Sweetheart, let’s revisit our first time, hmm?”

The only part of him that was truly “up” left no room for misunderstanding.

“Elian, can I trust a single word you say?”

She couldn’t take it anymore. He was pressing insistently against her, yet just minutes ago, he’d promised he wouldn’t do anything without her consent.

“That night was my first time, too.”

He dropped the statement like a bombshell.

Liana’s brain buzzed.

She stared at him, disbelief quickly morphing into flustered anger. “Are you getting up or not?”

“It’s up,” he rasped.

Finally, blessedly, his phone began to ring from the living room.

Liana secretly sighed in relief.

It didn’t escape Elian’s notice. Watching her expression, he let out a low chuckle. “I’m not going anywhere tonight.”

“Not even if your Ms. Forrest is calling?”

“Ms. Forrest isn’t mine. Ms. Keane is.”

He dipped his head to kiss her again.

Liana immediately cupped his jaw with both hands, forcing herself to sound calm. “Answer your phone. What if it’s about Theo?”

Only then did Elian find a robe from the pile on the bed slip it on, and go take the call.

The moment he left, Liana collapsed back onto the mattress with a heavy exhale, then pushed herself up.

Her palm rested on a piece of incredibly soft fabric. She looked down. It was his silk dress shirt.

She stared at it, the luxurious texture under her hand sparking an ache in her chest.

She got up quickly, relieved that her stomach still looked flat when lying down, and began gathering his clothes.

Elian returned from his call to find her stuffing his clothes-unfolded, uncaringly-back into the garment bag, cramming it almost to bursting. The message was clear…

She doesn’t intend for me to stay the night.

“Not tonight. We’ll talk tomorrow evening,” he said into the phone, leaning against the doorway and watching her.

Liana heard him but paid no mind, simply hoisting the now-bulging bag and thrusting it toward him.

Elian instinctively took the bag she pushed into his arms.

“Where am I tonight? With my wife, of course. She says she’s making me soup,” he said into the phone, his eyes locked on Liana.

She shot him a look of pure disbelief. Who would believe a CEO could lie so effortlessly?

Who said anything about making soup?

And what kind of soup at this hour?

“We’ve reconciled. Probably because the weather’s getting cold. My delicate wife needs me to warm the bed,” he continued.

Liana’s expression shifted from disbelief to utter shock. She started physically pushing him toward the

door.

Elian hung up in a snap, caught her hand with one of his, tossed the bag aside, and stepped in close.

“Elian, get out.”

“No.”

He pulled her into a tight embrace.

“Elian…”

“Liana, I tried.”

She struggled, but he just held her, throwing out that half-sentence.

Confused, Liana looked up, searching his eyes for meaning.

“I tried to go through with the divorce. More than once.

He met her gaze, then offered her a disappointed, almost weary smile. “But I can’t do it.”

“Then we’ll let the lawyers handle it.”

Liana was steeled in her resolve.

Hearing him say he couldn’t do it stirred a complicated suffocating feeling in her chest.

But she was getting a divorce.

“Fine.”

He agreed, but only to pull her tighter against him.
