Chapter 211 A Clean Break
No calls from elders about emergencies, and no one suddenly fainted,
This time…
Just as she reached for the pen, Elian moved first.
His complexion was poor, though not as bad as last time.
But he signed quickly.

Both Liana and the clerk couldn’t help but watch as he signed-swift, decisive strokes without a moment’s
hesitation.
After signing, he stood up and strode out without a backward glance.
Liana’s eyes followed him, forgetting to look away until his figure vanished from sight.
Then, she lowered her head and signed her own name.
The clerk said quietly, “After the mandatory 30-day waiting period, if neither of you wants to reconcile, you can come back to receive the finalized decree.”
“Thank you.”
Liana shouldered her bag and left..
But as soon as she stepped outside, she saw several luxury cars parked in front of the courthouse.
It was Xander, Nathan, and the others. And, of course, Anya and Jett.
Anya stood beside Elian, holding a black overcoat which she tried to drape over his shoulders. “Don’t catch a chill,” she said.
Elian didn’t put it on, but Anya didn’t seem to mind. She then looked toward Liana, standing on the steps, and walked over with a smile. “Liana.”
Hearing that, Elian knew Liana had come out. Irritated, he tossed the coat into Jett’s arms.
Jett caught it, watched Elian get in the car, then looked back toward Anya.
Yeah. He needed to make sure Anya wouldn’t get bullied
Divorce is a big deal. We’re worried he’s upset, so we’re taking him out to have some fun. We won’t invite you this time,” Anya said politely, but her eyes gleamed with greedy mockery.
Liana just gave her a fleeting glance and turned to leave
Anya blocked her path, her smile still gentle as she leaned in and whispered, “Actually, it’s to celebrate his divorce.”
Liana looked at her coldly and smiled, “Hope your dream comes true soon.”
“Thank you.”

Anya was in a great mood.
“Just don’t end up with nothing. Liana said lightly.

The moment it left her mouth. Anya’s face went pale. Ina turned and walked off in another direction.
Anya watched Liana’s retreating back, angrily gripping her own coat, but soon released it, a triumphant smile touching her eyes.
“Liana, look who crawled back-the big jerk.”
A familiar voice rang out.
Everyone turned to look, even Elian, unable to help himself.
They saw Lily emerging from a modest sedan, accompanied by a man.
Liana looked up and saw him. She paused for a second, then walked over.
“What are you doing back?”
“Got a high-paying offer to come back and woo you all over again.”
The man joked, extending his hand toward her.
Liana gave it a brief, perfunctory shake before pulling away.
After nearly three years, she felt nothing for this man.
The group by the luxury cars watched with curiosity.
Anya returned to Elian’s side, asking innocently, “Who is that? Seems pretty familiar with Liana.”
“Could it be her boy toy?” Jett ventured.
Nathan frowned at Jett. You never listen, do you?
“Ex-boyfriend,” Xander stated.
Back then, that guy kept going to the school to find Liana. The two would walk out together. Xander had
seen it.
He was good-looking, seemed decent enough, but…
He’d bailed when Liana’s mother was ill.
Yeah No backbone.
But why was he back now?
“Ex-boyfriend? She had a boyfriend before? We didn’t know that. Did you, Elian?”
Anya scrutinized the scene more closely before turning o Elian.
“Her affairs are no longer my concern.
