How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 131

Winifred splashed cold water on her face in the restroom, trying to calm the turmoil inside.

When she saw Yvan’s arm wrapped around that alluring woman’s waist, she had to admit—it broke her.

It wasn’t that Winifred hadn’t imagined him with other women—hugging, kissing, even sleeping with them.

But thinking about it was one thing; seeing it with her own eyes was another.

Before, with Teresa, it had mostly been just talking. Even when Teresa had linked arms with him, it wasn’t Yvan who initiated it.

This time, it was Yvan who had actively pulled that woman close.

Winifred kept telling herself—she and Yvan were over. She was the one who had rejected him. What right did she have to feel this way?

She shouldn’t stay here any longer.

Just then, someone walked up to the mirror. Winifred glanced over—it was Teresa.

Teresa had come in to touch up her makeup. Spotting Winifred, she paused briefly, then let out a light, disdainful hum. “Oh, it’s you.”

Winifred said nothing and turned to leave, but Teresa called after her, “Hey, wait.”

“What is it, Ms. Holmes?” Winifred stopped.

Teresa looked Winifred up and down, her expression scornful. “Ms. Spencer, let me give you some advice—someone of your… standing really doesn’t belong here. You should stop coming to places like this. It brings down the atmosphere for the rest of us.”

Winifred pressed her lips together briefly. “Ms. Holmes, I was invited here by Mrs. Brown. Are you implying that Mrs. Brown also has low standards?”

“That’s not what I meant, and you know it, Winifred. Don’t twist my words,” Teresa snapped, irritated. “You only weaseled your way into our circle because you charmed Mrs. Brown and Murphy. I’ve seen plenty like you—just here to hunt for a rich man. Let me make this clear: don’t even think about Yvan. He’s mine.”
