How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 190

With thousands of people in the audience, Winifred never imagined she would be lucky enough to be chosen. So when the singer called out her name, she was stunned and didn’t react at first.

“Wow, Winifred, you were picked! You’re so lucky! Go on, get up there!” Molly exclaimed, excitedly pulling her to her feet.

Winifred finally snapped out of her daze and walked onto the stage, her heart pounding with excitement.

The singer greeted her with a warm smile and took her hand. “Ms. Spencer, you are so lucky! Tell me, how are you feeling right now?”

Winifred was both thrilled and nervous, her hand trembling as she held the microphone. “I’m so happy. I’m so happy that luck found me tonight. My mind is still completely blank. Stacey, I’ve been a fan of your music for a very long time.”

In the audience, Yvan watched Winifred’s excited expression, a gentle smile gracing his lips.

He had arranged this with the singer beforehand, ensuring that Winifred would be the one chosen.

“What do you find special about my songs?” Stacey asked with a smile.

Winifred took a deep breath to calm herself. “Your music has a healing quality. Seven years ago, I went through a huge blow in my life, and for a while, I couldn’t find any meaning in living. But your songs, along with the support of my family, helped me heal and slowly find my way back. So, I am truly grateful to you.”

“I’m so honored to hear that my music played such an important role in your life. Ms. Spencer, would you like to sing a song with me?…”

As Winifred and Stacey’s voices filled the arena, the smile on Yvan’s face slowly faded.

He was the only one in the crowd who knew what had happened seven years ago.

He was the source of her pain.

After the concert ended, it was still early. Winifred and Molly decided against heading straight home and found an open-air diner for a late-night snack.

Yvan and Fitch were seated two tables away from them, about three meters apart.

Thanks to the dim lighting and the bustling crowd, Winifred didn't notice Yvan was so close.

Romantic? Absolutely. But to her, it feels more like a scene from a movie than something rooted in real, breathing life.

She much preferred the lively atmosphere of a place like this.

This was Yvan’s first time eating at such an establishment. Winifred had suggested it in the past, but he had always refused.

He disliked crowded, noisy places. It was right by the road, and every time a car passed, dust would surely get kicked into the food.

The chairs were cheap plastic stools, and the table felt slightly greasy, probably not wiped down properly.

Yvan frowned instinctively but forced himself to sit down.

He was willing to try the things Winifred liked.
