Chapter 115 The Elder’s Request
Lira’s POV:

He grabbed my hand, all excited. “You’re Lira, right? Thanks so much for saving my grandpa!”
I stared at the boy in front of me, kind of thrown off by how enthusiastic he was.
He had a strong pure–blood werewolf scent. Even Lily could feel how nice he was, so she didn’t put up her guard at all.
I was about to tell him to let go of my hand when Matthew frowned and snapped at him, “Gregory, quit being rude. Let go of Lira.”
He let go of me right away, looking a little sheepish. “Sorry, I got too carried away just now.
“Oh, right. I’m Gregory Hicks.”
I looked at this good–looking boy and smiled. “It’s fine. I’m Lira Krom.”
Just then, a more mature young man walked over and held out his hand. “Hi, I’m William Hicks. This is my little brother, Gregory Hicks. He’s a little impulsive. Sorry if he bothered you.”
I smiled softly. “It’s no big deal. I

Gregory still smelled like a teen. His male wolf spirit was at its peak–full of

William looked me up and down, his eyes mixing surprise, confusion, and admiration.
I stood there calmly, letting him stare. I just smiled and said nothing.
Matthew walked over, smiling. “Lira, we really owe you big time. From now on, don’t hesitate to ask for anything. If the Hicks family can help, we’ll never say no.”
I didn’t beat around the bush. I nodded. “Got it. Don’t worry–I’ll definitely ask if I need help.”
With my dad who betrayed me and my stepmom who tormented me, I knew I’d have to come back to the Brookstone Pack someday.
Maybe when I got my revenge, I’d really need the Hicks family’s help…
Matthew patted my shoulder and smiled. “We’re here whenever you need us.
“Oh, right. My dad’s awake now. He wants to see you.”

With that, he led me up to Gabriel’s bedroom.

All the medical machines were gone from the room. Patrick was checking Gabriel’s blood pressure. Gabriel was half–sitting up, wearing a plaid pajama top. His face looked way better.
When the doctors saw me walk in, they all looked a little awkward.
Patrick was totally different from before. He greeted me warmly, “Lira, you’re finally here! We just finished checking Elder Hicks–he’s totally fine.
“After seeing your skills, I really look up to you! I never thought you’d be so young… and just an Omega. You’re incredible!”
I just nodded a little at his praise, then walked to the bed and gave Gabriel a quick check.
Then I smiled, satisfied. “Yeah, he’s fine. As long as he follows my advice, he’ll recover in no time.”
Patrick was about to say something else, but Gabriel looked at him and cut him off. “Enough. I know my own body. You all can leave now.”
Patrick nodded respectfully, then took the other doctors and left right away.
The door closed, and the bedroom went quiet.
I stood there calmly, letting Gabriel stare at me sharply.
The room was totally quiet. Neither of us said a word.
After a while, he snorted coldly and looked at me sternly. “Typical low–rank Omega–so rude. You didn’t even say hello first.”
His childlike stubbornness and arrogance made me want to laugh.
I never thought this elder–who my dad always talked about as the top of the Brookstone Pack’s Elder Council, someone even enemies feared–could be this cute.
I smiled. “You stared at me so sharply. I was too nervous to say hello.”
“Nonsense.” He glared at me.
I didn’t argue. I just teased, “You’re the patient now. Whatever you say goes. I won’t argue–it’ll wear you out.”
My calm, unyielding attitude seemed to make him like me a little more.
His gaze softened a lot.

Chapter 115 The Elder’s Request
“You know who I really am, right?”
In a second, his expression turned serious again. He stared at me sharply.
I looked back at him calmly and answered, “Yes, I do.”

“Then aren’t you scared? Scared you’d get into trouble if you couldn’t cure me?” Gabriel asked, still staring.
I snorted, not caring. “To me, you’re just a patient. Your status doesn’t matter. If I had to worry about who someone is before healing them, I wouldn’t have learned to heal in the first place.”
That wasn’t what the Hidmoon Pack stood for, either.
After I said that, his gaze softened suddenly. He even smiled. “Rare. You own the Four Seasons Group and hold such wealth and status, yet you never forget why you first started healing people. No wonder an Omega like you has made it this far.
“You really impress me.”
I was a little surprised he knew I was the real boss behind the Four Seasons Group, but not too shocked.
After all, he was the top elder of the Brookstone Pack–his status was even higher than my dad’s, the Alpha. It wouldn’t be hard for him to find that out.
But that’s as far as he could get. I was sure he couldn’t find out my real rank or my connection to the Hidmoon Pack.
Thinking that, I looked at him openly, calm and unyielding. “Thank you for your praise. Healing is my lifelong job. My other statuses are just extras–they don’t mean much.”
He stared at me sharply, narrowing his eyes a little.
After a quiet moment, he spoke. “You saved me, so I’ll let you ask for one thing. Anything you want–I’ll make it happen.”
