Howl of Destiny: Alpha Lira’s Legend

Chapter 138 A Herb Goldmine

Lira’s POV:

There was a huge patch of rare ginseng and ganoderma here!

Besides that, there were tons of cordyceps, salvia, saffron-and even more rare herbs all around.

Finished

These were the perfect ingredients for my medicine. Usually, I had to send people all the way to Aeloria’s forests to find them. Never thought there would be so many here!

I was so excited. I used my dual wolf spirits’ power right away. I dug straight into the ground, and before long, I’d dug up all these precious herbs.

There were way too many to carry, so I used my ring to toss them all into my space.

Once I was done, I brushed the dirt off my hands. I grabbed a bunch of grapes from my space and handed them to Sun. “Here, your reward.”

Gotta say, that fox from my space had an insane sense of smell. Even Victoria didn’t pick up on this place -but he did.

I smiled and patted his head.

Sun lifted his head proudly, snatched the grapes, and started munching.

I shook my head, smiling at his little attitude.

I looked up at the sun, then found a rock and lay down to rest.

Breathing in the fresh scent of the forest plants, I suddenly thought of Kael.

I wondered what he was up to right now.

Kael’s POV:

Valenor Valley-they called it a forbidden zone, but for a Lycan King like me, sneaking in wasn’t that hard.

If my wolf Zeus hadn’t picked up all those different werewolf scents as soon as we got in, I never would’ve guessed this small, mysterious valley actually had people living in it.

It was surrounded by mountains and covered in mist-like a fairyland.

Looking at the unique stone buildings in front of me, I couldn’t help but sigh a little.

Was this where Lira grew up? No wonder she felt both wild and pure–just like

Thinking about her, my heart softened for no reason.

the nature here.

I was lost in thought when Cary pointed at the courtyard in front of us, then glanced around, looking hesitant, “Your Majesty, should we knock?”

I was about to answer when the door opened from the inside.

An old man, around 60 years old, stood there. He looked calm when he saw us, and said politely. Please come in. Elder Krom has been waiting for you.”

“Elder Krom?!” I was shocked,

If it was her, it made sense. Chances are, her wolf picked up our scents the second Gary and I got close to the valley.

We followed him into the courtyard. A special scent filled the whole yard and made me feel relaxed for

some reason.

An old lady sat in the middle of the courtyard, grinding coffee beans. Her movements were smooth and casual.

“What brings you two here today?” she asked.

Looking at her, I spoke up respectfully right away. “Elder Krom, I’ve heard a lot about you.”

The aura coming off her-even my wolf Zeus felt respectful. I knew right then, this old lady was the legendary Enid Krom, the leader of the Krom family-the oldest and most noble family in our entire clan!

They said her medical skills could bring the dead back to life, and she was just as good at running a pack

But she’d disappeared decades ago. Never thought she’d been hiding out here.

I stared at her, and she stared right back, sizing me up.

After a minute, she smiled and patted my shoulder. “You’re from the Thorne family of Thunder Pack. right? You look a little like your grandpa.”

I nodded. “I’m Kael Thorne, the eldest grandson of the Thorne family.”

“You’re Kael Thorne?!” For some reason, she reacted so strongly when she heard my name

I nodded, a little confused.

She didn’t say anything else and just pointed to the chair across from her. “Sit down”

I walked over casually and sat down opposite her

She handed me a cup of coffee and asked casually. “How’s Randy doing

I took the cup, took a small sip, set it down, and smiled. “He’s doing well. He’s old, but he’s shape”

“Good to hear. Us old folks are getting on in years-this world’s yours now, the young

Looking at her, I sighed a little too. “No one expected you whe

She smiled softly. “If I’m in seclusion, it’s because I don’t wanna deal with all that chao wanna live in peace.

Back in the day, her husband died suddenly, and then she disappeared-totally out of the blue. It was still a mystery to everyone

I didn’t ask more and got straight to the point. “Elder Krom, I’m here to find Lira. Do you know where she is now!
